Awesome and this is a perfect example of why I'm a PlayStation fan. They kill it all gen but don't rest on their laurels because they drop megatons at the very end of a gen. Last gen with TLOU and this gen with Ghosts of Tsushima. Then after that we're headed towards PS5 baby(in my best Adam Cole voice)
Days Gone is some of the most fun I've had with a game this year! Just an incredible achievement for Bend Studio. They delivered an awesome game with a smaller team but you wouldn't know that by playing the game. I'm playing Death Stranding at the moment but when it's finished I'm going back into DG with New Game +

Days Gone is some of the most fun I've had with a game. Games give me different experiences and emotions when I play them, depending on the game. Good point because the consensus is in and GOW and Spider-Man were incredible games that have more than earned their spot.
If I just had to choose I'd go with 2018 primary because you had God of War and Spider-man, two extremely anticipated games that delivered the goods and then some. RDR2 as well. They weren't the only ones though for sure.

2020 is the year man! I'm most excited for TLOU2, Ghosts of Tsushima (finally a quality modern open world ninja game) Biomutant, Nioh 2, Yakuza 5, Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, RE3, FFVII, Cyberpunk 2077, Dreams, Doom Eternal and Tales of Arise. I'm also excited about this little gaming console that goes by the name PS5!
Damnit boy if 2020 isn't stacked! I'd also add Biomutant and Yakuza 5(it'll complete the remastered collection) as well because they look incredible and while not a game(but it plays games) the PS5 is hitting!!!!! What a time to be a gamer!
Free is good and it's the only way I'd get this game. Now RE3 , shit I'm down with it and RE2 all day long!

Or and I know this may sound crazy but just buy a PS4. You get loads of games that can't be played anywhere else and they have more cross play titles than the competition and have been doing it for much longer!

This true and all you have to do is look at the usual suspects comments. They tear down PS exclusives but I rarely see them if at all tear down multi plat games or games on their favorite piece of plastic and components.

Great breakdown of the media's treatment of DG. What's telling though is that they oversold their influence because the paying customers spoke and it didn't line up with them and some actually did re reviews trying to save face!
