Seeing this makes the "Is Sony going to be smashed by the competition " article I just saw even more insane!
I know right! People always say "why is everything the same " or "there's no diversity " and then there are articles complaining about Death Stranding or Detroit and I'm just scratching my head!
Again if they were multi platform there'd be less "concerns!"
It qualifies as a game because it's a game and there's a thing called sub genres!
I'm surprised Sony doesn't get more credit for catching the 360 in sales last gen! I'm a former Xbox fan and it saddens me at this state they are in and how out of touch they are!
They aren't crushing anything and if they stay the course they've been on all gen and despite walking back some bad policies they still have the same mindset and only in years will we see if they learned anything!

With Sony's position and really the position they've been in for twenty years I doubt it! It is strong and it's strong for a reason! This is the gaming industry and it's why we all play games and why we are on N4G in the first place and it's why Sony is in the position they are in because they create amazing games and with that consistency comes trust! Each gen we get new ones that become new cornerstones of the PS brand!

I agree that even with one game out in the wild it is genre defining and the sequel will deliver and take its place in history!

So this is the game that replaced Visceral and Amy's SP game! Gotcha and I expect EA to do what they do and for that I probably will pass!
That's it and what I want from a console maker! I want quality, must play titles and that's why I'm so glad in this climate of microtransactions, loot boxes, GAAS, MP only and always online there are some like Sony and Nintendo that still provide amazing SP games!
As long as Sony stays the course I'm a customer!
And they don't have crossplay with Xbox lol!

@Sitdown true those three didn't light the world on fire but Knack is a solid platformer especially II and The Order has a cult following. If your an odds man then Sony nails it more times than not and they do try things that don't always work but they are willing to try! They will let devs be creative and as an artist that matters to me!

Like there's an agenda or something! I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories but where there is smoke there's fire! It always happens though whether it's articles saying TLOU was fake when it was first shown or Uncharted 4 was fake and the retail wouldn't look as good(it looked better actually) or HZD's character animations were off and the story wouldn't be solid or GOW was now the Dad of Us and changing Kratos wouldn't work or Days Gone is just generic or So...
One of the most impactful and emotional games I've ever played! The first play through I along with my wife were in tears! After the creadits rolled I just set there and reflected!
What's also hypocritical is they have attempted some of the most anti consumer antics in recent memory like DRM, no used games, 24 hour check in and Kinect but to me the biggest issue is the lack of compelling software on par with Sony and Nintendo!
But the fact that Sony didn't do any of these terrible policies and launched a console for one major reason, games! They've done what they always do , allow the talented devs they have deliver stellar games and now ...
So the fact Sony has over 40 titles with crossplay just goes out the window huh?!?! They just don't have it with Xbox!

It's amazing how good it looks and runs on the Pro! Also being open world and looking so good is impressive as well!
You hit the nail on the head and that's what separates Sony from the others in that they will allow devs to create new IP's! Like u said with GG, they made FPS for three gens and then allowed to create an open world action/RPG and HZD was a massive success!
Same with SP they went from Sly Cooper to the Infamous series and now are working on Ghosts. Which looks like it's going to be stellar as well and just looking at it compared to Second Son you can see how the...
