The original TR series focused on exploring tombs and caves to find actual treasure. The cinematic and action sequences were totally originated by the Uncharted series and copied by the Tomb Raider remake.
Next year there will probably be a Xbox One Tomb Raider bundle. I don't think the game will sell many systems. The brilliant minds who came up with the idea to make a Madden 15 bundle probably came up with the idea to get Tomb Raider as an exclusive, thinking that people will run out to buy an Xbox One to play it. Good luck with that though.
Look under the section "all PS4 games"
Yeah. It's definitely on the same level as Outlast, but this one will terrify you with sheer fear instead of jump scares.
Definitely on my pre-order list.
"How fast do you wanna go-ooh?"
Just played it and it scared the sh*t out of me in the first 10 minutes. The game has an eerie, Twilight Zone feel to it and it works.
An engaging story is a foundation for an epic game.

It's not that great of a loss. I don't think it's enough of a loss to make PS4 owners run out and buy a Xbox One.
This news is definitely a coup for Microsoft. I don't think Tomb Raider will be a system seller, but it definitely will give positive exposure to the Xbox One.

Microsoft probably thinks that Tomb Raider will compete with Uncharted 4. Does anyone know where I can get some "moon cheese?" If not, i'll settle for a potion that turns lead to gold.
CEO and management are probably using the salaries of their employees to line their own pockets.
Another article complaining about something that is completely optional. The "Entitlement" attitude of some gamers is petty and ridiculous. Businesses are in business to make money. DLC is a completely legitimate way for a business to make money. DLC is far more legitimate than the so called "Free To Play" model, but that is another story in itself. No one is forced to buy DLC. And you don't need DLC in order to win or enjoy the original game. This notion that DLC is a...
Most people who have played the game would probably agree with you, which would make Ellie becoming a victim that much more shocking, like the Sam & Henry story. Sam becomes infected, his brother, Henry, kills him, then Henry kills himself. For me, the shocking realism of TLOU's story is what makes it so good.
Then it's safe to say that this statement, "All hardware launches incur massive costs," isn't exactly true, unless you're including costs for packaging, advertising, and R&D, all of which are costs that are mostly incurred before the release of the actual hardware itself.
The PS4 console didn't.
Ellie should definitely be the main character for TLOU 2. 5 to 10 years after the end of the 1st story, with Ellie in her early twenties or the story could take a terrible turn with someone from the town Joel & Ellie were living in, sexually assaulting Ellie & later becoming infected sending the town into chaos one person at a time starting with Joel becoming infected by Ellie's attacker.
It takes alot to actually scare me. I watch gory, violent, psychological, horror movies and there are only a few movies that have been released over the past 5 years that have even come close to terrifying me. This game, with noise cancelling headphones, is a terrifying, mind f**k.
