You can't compare DLC to a full game. It's not the same thing. DLC is an optional add-on. ROTTR is a complete game.
If it isn't an exclusive then why isn't this demo/reveal available on Xbox One? It doesn't make any sense to assume that it's a multi-platform game. I say just wait for more information. It's the best way to avoid being disappointed.
After playing "PT", "Rise Of The who?"
When there are millions of dollars and contracts involved, starting a petition is a complete waste of time. By the time the game is released on the PS4, most gamers will be focused on other games, like Silent Hill, Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky and many other games that Sony has planned for release. I say just wait for used copies of the game or wait until the price drop.
I hope that whatever Techland is doing with Dying Light, that it doesn't end up being a repetitive bunch of nothing like Watch Dogs. Hopefully, they'll keep it simple; Missions/quests, killing zombies, running from zombies, open world.
Bubble for well said.
Would you like hot or cold water splashed on your face to wake you up?
10 million verified install base vs 3.5 to 5 million? How would anyone think that Tomb Raider will sell more copies because of this decision? LSD? Mushrooms? A 2 week crack binge? I'm just trying to imagine this scenario being played out in several different ways and each end result tells me that Microsoft will probably benefit slightly, but Square Enix will be the only losers in this scenario.
This scenario doesn't harm Sony at all.
This scenario ma...
The problem with that argument is Sony has never actually paid for rights to an entire game or bought a developer in order to make a single game an exclusive, timed or otherwise.
When the exclusive games being made by your first party developers fail to make an impact, buy some games to bolster your library and hope it makes an impact? The lesson being taught by Microsoft: When you have a problem, don't try to solve it with creativity and hard work, throw money at the problem. It's less respectable, but it is the easy way out.
I guess they think that negative publicity is better than none at all.
Outlast is comprised of jump scares. PT is intense, psychological horror, especially when the ghoulish woman grabs you. It happens when you don't expect anything to happen.
To everyone who has played the demo, can we all agree that it definitely achieved it's intended purpose? To terrify and introduce a new Silent Hill in a brilliant way. If this demo was scary as hell, imagine what the actual game will be like. As soon as a pre-order is available, i'm all in!
You have hit a very large nail on it's head with an extremely large hammer.
I never buy DLC unless it's a completely separate, stand-alone game. I have never bought a season pass for any game and I never will.
This demo introduction was nothing short of brilliant.
No one can deny that this introduction of a new Silent Hill is brilliant.
Playing semantics with the word exclusive is what fanboys do to justify their console of choice and it's what unscrupulous executives and developers do to sell games and consoles. I will not participate in this nonsense indirectly by buying the Tomb Raider game. All the complaining in the world won't do anything to change the situation, just let your wallets do the talking for you.
3.99 - 6.99 for 24 hours is far more reasonable than 1.99 for 4 hours.
No Man's Sky. New experiences usually end up being the best games.
By that time, interest in the game will be next to nothing. As of right now, my whole take on this situation is "so what?" It's not a game that is on my "must have" list. If Microsoft wants to buy games for the Xbox One that were already slated to be released on the Xbox One, more power to them. I don't think Sony could care less and neither do I.
