I know almost all information is based on (heavy) speculation but the fact is that a new console is coming in 2012. If the hardware specs are true, Rockstar would have no trouble porting RDR and GTA 4 to the new console wich would make for some great 3rd party launch titles. The Nintendonly crowd has been missing out on a lot of AAA titles and these are great catch-em-uppers to get warmed up for the next installments.
You obviously haven't seen the rumoured Wii 2 specs floating around the net. It's Sega MegaDrive BTW...
After Battefield 1942 and Battlefield 2, DICE was bought by EA. For the PC market it has been going downhill sincethen. The games DICE made after that sold approx 10 times more copies on consoles (XBX+PS) than on PC and I'm betting this time around consoles is where the main development will be taking place again. The game does look a bit pale to me. Where's the color? The first gameplay trailer blew me away but since then it's been going downhill. These screens aren't that amazing at all. From what I've seen so far, I favor Cry3 when it comes to graphical beauty.

Looks horrible! It doesn't even look like it's made with cryengine 3. Still quite an achievement getting this to run on a PS3 though!! It's amazing to see what people can do with the available hardware nowadays.

I reinstalled the game about two weeks ago and was amazed by the amount of modifications there are. This one absolutely raises the bar once again. Got a week of vacation ahead of me and I think I'll dive into the world of Vvardenfell again. Of course I'll first mod the shit out of the game!

For an open world game it's good enough. It's a huge leap forward compared to Oblivion and Fallout. I'd really like to see the facial animations this game has. I really hope Bethesda will come through on their promises. This is what they revealed to a dutch gaming mag. a couple of months ago.

* You bleed and axes (perhaps other weapons) do bleed damage over time
* Over 150 dungeons
* 5 big cities

At the moment I like 'em all but U3 has the advantage. Epic just never fails to not impress. Still, I would like the U3 engine to have better support for open world games.
