I think sony finally learned to use themselves to adv. for their games.
one of them is the software, when most of the publishers say they gain more profit from selling the PS3 games than Xbox 360. That just show you something, doesn't it ?
and with the PSN, well lets just say Home alone made over 1 million dollar in the first month. ( I think I'm right about the period of time, it might be less )

Facing this problem for ages with the PC, and they couldn't stop it. So my guess would say no they wouldn't, the worst part they are going to banned the system if you play it online. and again I've seen some kind of program insure that your pirated copy would bypass that as well.
I hope this doesn't go out of hands, other wise I can see devs. leaving the xbox 360 because of a loss in profit.
every thing have to have a start, and if this is the start of a great studio so be it.
you never know what the future hold for us, and never ever only look up for great devs. as there are some small and new devs. who can make great games.
