How was it not aimed at that in previous titles? Were the relationships meaningful in any way in relation to the game? Did it add to the story, change it? Did your choice of partner influence your personal storyline? Did you have long talks around the campfires ;) In Mass Effect we saw at least some kind of new ending when Thane died, but I for one would like to see the romance feature evolve just a bit.

Interesting read. For me the best example is Portal. I don't think there will be a series that will press the player to think outside the box as much as Portal.
