You know, this generation is interesting. I'm willing to bet that 90% + of all multiplatform games sadly are ported from the 360 to the PS3, which results in loweer framerates, some more screen tearing and lower res textures (or lower resouliton output).
However the multiplatform games that now lead on the PS3 look identical on both platforms (i.e. burnout Paradise) - and that's how it should be for us consumers.

Amazes me how the PSP 3000 sells though, woah! I tried out the PSP go because I thought the PSP was to big and unpractical because of the discs... But ultimately I didn't really use it - my iPhone is enough portable gaming for now..

In short It just seems as though people really believe it's a new Xbox (Xbox 360S - compare it to iPhone 3G vs iPhone 3GS, where S was for Speed(?), and it indeed had better specs - faster CPU and more ram). Maybe they are confused by the "S" - thinking it's an actual hardware upgrade?
The 'new' Xbox to me is just the same as the ones on sale last year, only that it is a bit smailler (hardly SLIM), ...

I think some people (or, a lot of people) are just WOO'ed by the Call of Duty brand, which in my eyes hasn't changed at all since COD4. And so COD has become mainstream, and everyone likes it and doesn't dare to prefer something else.
Don't get me wrong, COD is good but I'm really ready for a game with a different feel and more serious story.

I have just recently been able to upgrade to a 10mbit connetion which is fine, but it still takes a lot of time to download like a few gigs.

So Maybe a CPU in the PS4 will have 10X the computing power of the Cell in the PS3.
To be honest I actually hope it's the same arcitecture - a new Cell, probably with more cores and SPE's.
Now that developers learn to take advantage of it you can see how insanely powerful it is. And their knowledge isn't gonna fade away =).
So hopefully SONY could invest some more time and money in teaching the "lazy" developers what Naughty Dog, Guerilla...

32GHz does sound much, but in fact it isn't. IF we can compare it to the CPU on my PC, which is a i7 clocket to 3.0 GHz with 4 cores, the total is 12 GHz, and if we count the "cores" that are displayed in task manager (8) it's 3 x 8 = 24GHz. And this is a CPU from 2009 (not 2008 right??).
2-3 years from now I have no problem seeing a multicore CPU that totals somewhere arounf 32GHz.
However, the question is will the techology stagger now that we have...

I've had a 50" Panasonic Viera for 3 years now and image burning has never ever been a problem. The colors and black levels are amazing. yeah sure CRT is better but no gamer will buy an old ass CRT TV which is 480p at most, sorry, just won't happen.
I've ordered a new plasma: a Samsung 50" 3DTV... wan't it so bad right now!! It's delayed =(
I considered LED LCD as well but there's (used to be at least) some sort of unnatural...
i hope we see slightly upgraded graphics like we did on Oblivion, rather tham a gimped port like Mafia 2.
