Yeah I mean that have given them some great exclusives... like Haze.
Agreed, the whole idea of Kinect is for new experiences, as well as ones that don't work very well with a controller. If we don't get new technology like this then the industry would grow stale with the same types of games flooding the market.
Mate the industry would be nowhere near as healthy without franchises like Call of Duty to drive it. It has become a cornerstone franchise.
It's only like buying the arcade version. One of my mates bought an arcade for playing a few games but mainly for watching videos. Believe it or not, not all 360 owners are gamers.
People always tend to gravitate towards new technology, whether it works or not. One of my friends is interested in Kinect purely for the dashboard and video navigation, which is very cool. Even though they have yet to show anything that truly resonates with the core gamer, you can't deny its potential.

It's a shame that Black Ops is always brought down with politics and franchise fatigue, when people don't even bother to discuss the game itself. It could well be the best of the series.
Alan Wake and Splinter Cell are both excellent games. Just cause they didn't get 90+ review scores across the board, they are still among the finest games this year has to offer.
Haven't played Too Human but I haven't heard great things about it either.
Pot calling the kettle black much? Any time you even imply that you like Kinect you get about 70 Sony fanboys giving you disagrees and commenting how you've been brainwashed by Microsoft. There's a fine line between free speech and acting like a prick.
Alan Wake is a class game. Judging from its sales though, I doubt half of the people here have even played it. People seem to be able to formulate an opinion though review scores, and anything with a metacritic average below 90 automatically sucks.
Look a bit too pre-rendered for my liking.
I'm obviously in the minority then when I say that I'm looking forward to this game. It's only like buying FIFA or Madden every year.
What a generic fanboy response. It's not like anyone was ripping the PS3 for the delay, but you come out with the "I don't even give a shit" remark anyway. So pathetic.
Someone needs to give GAME a run for their money, they've monopolised the high street.
Some of those ideas will work, some won't. I would certainly be interested in iterations of Rampage and Bushido Blade.
Or maybe they just couldn't get it right. How many flawed iterations of the portable music player did we get before the ipod came on the scene? Don't dismiss a concept just because it hasn't worked in the past.
I don't want Kinect in games like Gears and Fable though, I don't know why anyone would. The challenge for developers is to come up with new experiences for Kinect that resonate with the core gamer. Child of Eden is a fine example.
Great article, can't wait to give it a try.
Kaka might have been a good choice last year, but he's had a shit season and world cup, and now he's injured for the next two months.
Andres Iniesta would've been a better choice, best midfielder in the world and he scored the world cup winning goal.
360 gamers are "fake"? What kind of crazy pills are YOU on? The 360 has delivered quality exclusives year on year, and has proven that it has the best online service of the big three, which is why so many people choose to play for it.
I have a lot of respect for the PS3 as it has come along way from how it was when it launched, but I sold mine for a 360, and I haven't regretted it since. All of my gaming friends are on Xbox Live and it offers everything I need ...
