Don't get my wrong, I love both games (just love GT a little bit more)but seriously....I don't know how people can say Forza 3 is still a Sim, they're turning more and more into Burnout with real cars. the latest trailer shown at E3 seems to put heavy emphasis on stunt driving....wtf??

if you're concerned about your existing library, maybe they'll release software that will let you rip umd games into an iso format...like maybe when the psp 1000/2000/3000 is connected to a pc via usb....
I know that sounds like suicide for sony (piracy wise), but I think that's the only viable solution right now to address the issue of how people are going to play their current library of games on this thing imo.

Judging by the little summary:
Michael Pachter just put out his US console sales estimate for April, putting Wii at 480,000 units, 360 and 275,000, and PS3 at 175,000 PS3 consoles.
Key word to look at is "ESTIMATE".
I look at the statement of "being forward compatible" and shake my head.
They say that in order to be "backwards compatible" your current system has to be at least 10x as powerfull as the older system (for emulation purposes). So whether it's true or not, the PS3 is roughly 10x more powerfull than the ps2.
So if the next xbox (720?) is to be roughly 10x as powerful as a 360, how can the 360 even possibly handle 720's games without extreme ret...
Couple of problems with digital distribution and MSFT and why the next xbox will have blu ray:
1) How do you suppose microsoft is going to address the problems with download capping that ISPs are imposing on their customers?
2) And if your hard drive craps out on you (doesn't happen often, but yes it does happen) you're stuck re-downloading your ENTIRE library of games.....can you imagine redownloading 100+ gb of data and how happy your ISP is going to be with th...

but you originally stated that the arcade is a direct competitor to the ps2:

Your argument about spending $300-$400 on a ps3 then a $100 ps2 for ps2 games fails.
Sony originally had BC in the PS3, then took it out (yes very dumb imo), but they STILL have an option for people that don't have BC who want to play ps2 games, get a cheap ps2 @ $100....

MSFT will likely do something to minimize any type of positive momentum from Sony.
Even a small price cut on all 360 consoles ($25-$50) will be a blow to Sony's momentum.
MSFT has shown in the past that it isn't afraid to throw money at it's game's division.
They'll most likely just "OK" the decision to continue to take a hit on manufacturing costs just to curb any type of momentum from Sony.

change the control scheme to "Alternate 2", put "Zoom Hold" on.....that makes the control scheme very similar to CoD.
