To all the people disputing the number, whether or not they're right, it doesn't matter. It's inevitable that PS3 will overtake 360. Whether it's already happened or 6 month from now makes no difference.
Not that it matters, anyways, it's about games and PS3 overtook 360 a long time ago in that department.
Sony is terrible at releasing things, they should be building hype not confusion.

lol I'm not a sheep, although I may be cheap/frugal. I rather buy it, than rent, and at least support the devs somehow, as I do believe it's a good game worth owning. Everyone has their own evaluation of value, I don't think Vanquish is worth full price, you do - no need for personal attacks though. If I passed in a weekend, playing only 2-3 hrs a day, I'd feel a bit like I waisted my money.
The reviews are fairly consistent that the game is short (6-8hrs)...

Oh, I'll buy Vanquish...just like how I bought Bayonetta - 6 months later for 30 bucks. It's up to the developer/publisher to entice me to spend my hard earned cash for a full priced game. For 60-70 plus tax (I'm Canadian, so tax is 13%), the game better be pure gold.

Mouse and keyboard are terrible, well the keyboard at least. How do you have full control of your movement speed on a keyboard - the keyboard is like a d-pad in terms of controlling movement that also causes tendonitis.
It's like having one analog stick, a d-pad, and an excess of buttons.
'Counterparts' meaning equivalents, something similar, comparable
Kinect doesn't have any core games like the ones Parapraxis mentioned to compare against Move, Kinect only has fitness, mini-games, and dancing.
I'm talking about Sport Champions and the two fighting games, ect. Genres that both controllers have.
Geez, I like my PS3 more than my 360 (for the games) but the PS3 fanboys on this site are even getting on my nerves....
Those are some expensive games, and you have to pay S&H!!! What a rip-off. Isn't the 4GB Kinect bundle 300 bucks. Why pay 130 bucks for 2 games and then pay to ship them, when Amazon will ship free and you can pick what games you want.
Guy makes amazing gameplay, but he really needs to understand that AAA these days requires the whole package. I'm not saying there has to be MP, but if a games SP only, make sure the gameplay, graphics, story and length are top notch. All are necessary, neither one alone is sufficient for me to spend 60 bucks.

I got to say even though it seems like most Kinect games suck, they do have a much better graphical style than their Move counterparts.
Kinect is not a console, it can't play games - it's a controller.
Who cares if they're back-peddling, they should create a wand(s) or this thing won't last. Once the novelty wears off, Kinect won't have genres besides, mini-games, and fitness and people will lose interest. Wii's survived because it can still do traditional experiences using motion control. If MS want's motion control longevity, they're going to have to create a way to have more control in games.
Article nailed the problems with MW2 right on the head. I was so surprised how disappointing MW2 in terms of SP and MP as COD4 was incredible. I sold MW2 2 months after I bought it.
