While I see your point about announcing too early, it's not really a bad thing for the hype to die down, I mean look what happened to watch dogs, good game that was slightly ruined by the hype.

Its not a zombie game. It is set a ciuple weeks after a LETHAL viral infection begins to spread through major centers. People die, not turn in to zombies.
Conquest is largely working now on ps4 and now that this patch is out, hopefully all those problems will ne resolved. I would wait until later today to see peoples opinions on the patch itself.
Im 16, and I can tell you, every one that I know who is getting one at launch chose by reading about them, watching countless info videos. Teens are smarter then you think, its not all "he wants that so I want that, gimmie it"
COD yes but most people under 16 dont get battlefield cause you do more than, run shoot die in a span of 30 seconds. Anything beyonf that is too hard to understand for them

You cant buy them anymore but there are some hd tvs from like 6-7 years ago ish tthat only dvi (up to 1080i)
Maybe the cars look better better but the wod effects are basically turned off. There is not realy sun reflection (besides simulated ref. from current gen) no day/night, no weather, and the envirinments are extremely basic. Plus this is an open world game, where as forza is an arcade racer.
I agree, and I dont see how a significantly more expensive system could appeal to casuals.
This only works in the US, not Canada, europe, Asia anywhere else. Yes that is the biggest singular market but certainly not the only one.

I definitely agree, the ps4 will be outdated eventually but probably in about 5 years or so (just a guess, not trying to make up facts). I think (or hope) that when the companies say 10 years that means they will support it for 10 years like how Microsoft will continue to support the 360 until 2016.

The only problem is that console gaming is supposed to be streamlined and always accessible. Making them upgradable means that games wont run as well on all devices, which ruins the point of a console in the first place (besides the tv/livingroom experience).
Look, maybe that is fine for you, but there is a reason consoles dominate over pc all around the world (except for places like china for obvious reasons) that is price. $700 is a significant investment for a vast majority of people. This includes people with good, steady jobs. People with real responsibilities have to balance their finances and 700 is alot of money.
Um well we'll be fine actually. The steam box occupies a different micro-market in the game industry. Console gamers probably wont latch on to this because it changes what makes console gaming what it is, that is security. We will buy our inexpensive, capable hardware and never have to worry if the a new game will run on it.
The problem with making an upgradable console is that it completely eliminates the main benefit if home consoles; ease of access. If a console was upgradable, you would loose the security of knowing your games will always run and be fully optimised. Because of this the steam box will only attract the pc crowd.
Seriously, why is it even mentioned that's he's gay here? Just say that's a gameplay demo.
