it's a good point, but xbox is finally getting some great exclusives and has the third-party support. if they have a killer lineup for launch with zelda and mario it may well do it, short-term.
Really hoping this system does well. IT will launch well but it needs some stellar titles year one and a killer holiday.
they did but i think the NX is different. there's real potential with this console and if we get a new mario and zelda in the first year i think it could be very special. nintendo needs to space their releases out adequately too but not like to the point where they never come out.
They have had ideas stolen before so I don't entirely blame them. BUT. This is a joke with the system coming out in March. We had to play the Zelda Wii U build too. Supposedly the NX build is better, from something I heard...the game was delayed to optimize it more for the NX. so. we'll see.
Nintendo does their own thing. It could be a great thing depending on what it does.
@Master that is true. It's not necessarily the system per se IMO but nintendo's schizo release schedule that's never on track. They need to get that together and maybe third parties would want to develop for their system.
This is actually what I'm expecting. You've nailed it. Just look at what they did with Rayman which was supposed to be a Wii U launch title.
It will sell well initially, but it all depends on third parties and really NIntendo's release schedule, which has been atrocious since the N64 days. Launching with Zelda will sell a lot of systems but let's see how it can sustain that without just doing Wii U re-releases (I'm not counting Zelda as one; for all we know it IS optimized for the NX.)
I hope they do but doubt it.
Yeah their CEO is talking to a lot of people. I hope so too. The NX will launch strong with Zelda but they need to keep it up with third parties because first party games can't fill a whole year, as the Wii U showed.
That's actually a good point. They can be flaky as hell.
Hope they don't pull a Rayman again. That was so bad for the Wii U.
I really want this. it looks so good.
That's not unreasonable. I mean I'm skeptical of some things but trying my best to keep an open mind. MSG games have always had crazy shit in them.
he probably had so many disciples that are there now that it's a real slap in the face to gripe about it. Konami is/was more than Kojima.
why when they can capitalize on the MSG brand which is worth millions? I know what you're saying but business-wise that is a really stupid move.
it hurts the workers and devs with such blind hate.
eh I think the author (one of my writers) just wants people to keep an open mind and presents an interesting argument, that's all. if it ends up being that horrible hate it like it deserves.
what the internet does to video game fans...
this is very true. the "third party support" when the wii u came out was so so so abysmal.
