@ gaffyh -
Is that 5 seconds off a 10 second load time? If so that is amazing. I'm waiting for someone to do the SSD tests. If it cuts the read time by 15-20%, that will be a massive upgrade.
So they patched it? I never picked the game back up, my level of frustration was through the roof.
Until Madden monopolized the NFL. I can't wait for that contract to expire.
I hate it and I hate DLC! The worst sh!t ever created to nickle and dime last generation of gamers.
@ amiga-man - They can't be both?
First it was the PS4 and now the XBox One having overheating problems? Can't stand these rumors...
Secondly, MS better not have made the same mistake twice. To think it's even possible with this low powered chip...
@ Xwow -
It isn't the all in one focus. They just didn't think to use GDDR5. The machines are damn near identical minus the ram. The Ram is what's giving Sony the advantage because of the bandwidth GDDR5 provides.
10% is not large enough to cause all these issue. What's missing is the 50% difference GDDR5 provides.
I agree. One hell of a machine.
Now what I need are reviews of various HDD/SDDs to see if there any difference in load speeds. I want to upgrade my computer SDD to the Samsung EVO drives and drop a Pro in the PS4. If it's worth it ofcourse. 20-30% load increases are worth it imo.
@ T12 - I own that game and holy hell was it bad. I couldn't even control it...
Folks blowing this out of proportion if you ask me. I do not expect perfection with the wave of games because they have to learn the systems. Give them some time...
There was a guy here that talked of Uncharted 1 and it's slow down while loading. This is true, then they learned how to optimize for the system and it was no longer there.
I'm hearing recent reports that there is 1 gig of "flex" ram. So if a game needs more ram it can tap into 3.5 reserved for the OS.
I do expect Sony to reduce the OS footprint like they did with the PS3. I do expect in time that up to 5.5 gigs will be dedicated to games.
This author thinks Sony changed ram from 4 gigs to 8 gigs at the last moment. That just doesn't add up at all...why? The OS uses 3.5 gigs of ram! So the PS4 would have the same amount of ram for games as the PS3? ...Doesn't add up bruh.
Actually took half a second to youtube this and damn this looks good. A shooter, a genre that has been overly neglected imo. I may have to scoop this up.
This would look good on the original Xbox...
Just kidding - This game actually looks interesting. Now what is it about?
What he fails to realize is that those who have no intentions of buying a Xbox One will get it on PC. So he should be pleased that people actually want to buy is game at all. So instead he wants to come out with this piss poor attitude... This might actually deter me purchasing the game.
Looks interesting - just need some benchmarks.
What stupid question...
Do I NEED to upgrade to a PS4/Xbox One? No, but I WANT to.
To further cement what I was trying to say in my original post.

You'll be able to see in this review some 7200 rpm drives that run cooler than the 5400 ones. The only thing I'm trying to convey to everyone is, do your research and pick a HDD that works for you. Don't automatically buy a 5400 and think it will ke...
