No.
Agreed. I was highly sceptical of the Switch before I got my hands on it. Now, my mind has been Switched on. Ha.
As a long time Nintendo abstainer, I've sure been persuaded.
I'm so glad this game is getting good reviews, and is averaging above 8 on metacritic. Haven't been this exciting to play an FF since 10.
One thing's for certain; anything is possible with Hideo Kojima.
Looks kinda Breath of the Wild-y. I like that aesthetic. I always think games based on books are a good idea too.
A lot of people still highly praise TLG, and I don't doubt that in many ways, it's a great game. But for having been in development for so long, many reviewers are finding a lot of flaws that unnecessarily detract from what should be an amazing experience.
Except that their concerns are genuine and valid? Their sentiments are being echoed by many, many other reviews. I'm getting sick of this. Every review for TLG below 7/10 has people like you trying to undermine them, people who would rather ignore the game's glaring flaws.
This is the kind of review of The Last Guardian I wanted; where the reviewer doesn't have their rose-tinted nostalgia glasses so firmly wedged to their face that they unrelentingly forgive the games flaws. I'm not saying that TLG isn't great in some ways, it's just that the greatness can get overshadowed.
So you're saying that just because everyone else is giving this game high scores, this renders the above review invalid? Maybe this reviewer isn't as forgiving as others have been with this game's obvious flaws. And it DOES have flaws, no question. A lot of other reviews highlight the flaws (but still give 8+/10, oddly). It's also a wonderful game for many reasons. Perhaps 4/10 is a tad low, but if their experience of what should be an excellent game is so badly tainted by cam...
Because Darksiders draws so strongly from so many other games, it invites comparison to those games. And Darksiders is very much dwarfed by its strongest inspiration, namely Zelda games, and so Darksiders' own attributes are diminished. It's still a fun game, just not 8/10+ fun.
I love that they're still working on this right up until release.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see anywhere in my research for this article that Reapers weren't going to feature in this game. Even if I missed it (which is possible) that doesn't mean that the species that created the Reapers, the Leviathans, won't be in ME:A. I don't think it's too crazy to assume that the Leviathans managed intergalactic travel, considering their technological superiority. I still think it's a massively far-fetched theory tbh,...
No it doesn't.
