The writer makes a good case. But i have moved on to dead space. For me that is the game that i always thought resident evil should be and the reason i bought my PS3. IMO Perfect blend of horror and action to keep you keep coming back. I am not writing off resident evil 6 though like some people.
I liked skyrim because of the environent and exploring. The fighting and story did
kind of suck. The gameplay could ha e used a lot more polish. It might be the consoles more than anything though. But it is still a good game to immerse yourself in to kill time when there isnt anything else to play.

All of the hitman games had maps. The eagle vision just replaces the maps. It doesnt hold your hand anymore than the previous games did. In fact it is slightly harder now because you arent given a birdseye view of the level on your device like the previous games.
Resident evil always had action in it. Remember the giant alligator in RE2? Its only natural that they would eventually go more in that direction as time passed and advances in what was possible in games became better and easier. Whos to say that capcom didnt always want action in those games but just couldnt do it before? Just a thought
