my take on no audio cds or mp3s:
it was a calculated measures so they could push music unlimited. they are trying to sell subscriptions to their service, and thought a good way to do that was by leaving out music playback on ps4.
now if thats the case, i completely disagree with this measure and am very disappointed that they would try that. but i dont think that the exclusion of audio playback was because they rushed it to market.

my thoughts exactly. getting it for pc, to me at least, has nothing to do with microsoft, its only about not having to buy a x1 for a single game.
personally im not getting the game for any platform, but these comments from the devs are so ridiculous, i had to comment.
i completely agree. i couldnt care less about external storage.

agreed. that part of the FAQ really stuck out to me. i didnt care about audio cds not playing, but mp3s are incompatible? thats ridiculous. sorry sony im not subscribing to music unlimited, but that doesnt mean i should be punished for it.
this is the first piece of ps4 related news that im disappointed in. shu said yesterday that mp3 compatibility will be considered post-launch. hopefully enough people complain to get it done quickly

I've never had issues with using a ds3
the games are what matters. tv features do not. its really not difficult to hit the cbl button on my av receiver remote, so i absolutely do not need an hdmi in on my console. so ill gladly pay less money for more pixels, and better gaming experience.
