when you think about it there wasn't much in SC1 either
they were usually less than a minute long cinematics with a badass one at the end of each campaign
"The new Saint's Row will be less urban - it's definitely not about 'gangsta' anymore at all. And it's more fun and almost sillier and wackier and weirder than the other one."
I don't see how the only way it would be fun would be if it was urban
thinking FFXIV is going to have more subscriptions than SWTOR is crazy
The highest I heard for FFXI was 500,000 subs using 1 million characters
SWTOR will probably get the people from WOW looking for something new and most people that played Star Wars Galaxies and then a lot of previous KOTOR fans and then a lot of Star Wars fans in general.
SWTOR will be the second most populous MMO after WOW outside of the free to play MMO's

if it's on steam it'll probably sell well
if it's not, I can see a lot of people overlooking this
I think you'll have a lot of english speaking people from the PS3 base of players but from the PC i don't know how successful it will be with Cataclysm and The Old Republic on the horizon
the big problem with paying for DC Universe is that it looks like a free to play game
it's not hard to hook up a pc to a tv
it's called an HDMI cable
You know what it is since back when the 360 didn't have one all of the PS3 fans were always talking shit about how limited the 360 was because it used component cables.
yet a pc can do much more than a ps3 and the games are cheaper
you don't just game on a pc
if you ask about monitor, speakers then you would have to add in the price of an HDTV and sound system.
no games would need that
seeing as games don't even use a full 4gb of ram; why buy 24GB
most cases over $150 are just for the aesthetics
windows 7 ultimate isn't aimed at gamers
an SSD gives almost no benefit to games as with USB 3.0
the most expensive Intel cpu's are always overpriced by hundreds of dollars
what you picked is overkill in every aspect outside of the Monitor
nothing will kill it but quality MMO's will take away subscribers and slowly it will go into the Everquest stage of life and have a vastly smaller but dedicated following
i think FFXIV and Guild Wars 2 will have there own dedicated strong following but WoW will live long for a long time like Everquest
it'll probably go WoW then TOR and then after that it is a battle for third not counting free to play
I'm thinking anyone bored of WoW will probably go to TOR
once TOR comes out the only MMO that has potential to topple WoW and TOR will probably either be the Fallout MMO or the Warhammer 40k MMO
the ds is an incredibly strong brand
they were able to let the Xbox get a headstart because it isn't nearly as strong of a brand but if they want to beat nintendo in the handheld market they can'tgive them that large of a headstart
so far this reminds me of Global Agenda in that it looks fun but doesn't seem to be worth a subscription
if this does have a subscription I can see it dropping it for a pricing model similar to current Global Agenda
if I can buy a used car and not hurt the automobile companies that bad then i can buy a used game and not hurt the gaming industry
lets see its almost July so about 6 months till the end of the year. In my opinion they should use those 6 months for beta and iron out as many bugs and make as many balance fixes as possible and then maybe an early February release. Don't need the same problems so many other MMO's have by having brief betas and then terrible releases
the pace is real off
sometimes its fast but most of the time its slow
so far it seems like the Unreal Tournament games will keep its crown as the best speed twitch type shooter
if most of the movie is zero suit samus then i say win
remake Jet Set Radio
I view 6/10 as generic and had some annoying gameplay mechanics
7/10 its good but didn't feel complete or unique enough
8/10 real good but has some kinks in gameplay here and there - sometimes reviewers obsess with graphics and it's not up to their standards
9/10 excellent with barely any flaws that would make the game annoying to play
10/10 should be perfect but most reviewers spew this crap about being as close to b...
i always forget about that
most big name MMO's are like 15-20gb on installation and then it just keeps growing year after year with the patches and expansions
