they killed their chances by first charging to play with GFWL and then having extremely rare releases for it
"[We] want people to be able to play together and right now if a guy buys a game on Games for Windows and a guy buys a game on Steam - they can't play together," Gearbox's head of marketing Steve Gibson said at London Games Festival. "If another guy bought it in a retail store, he can't play with the first two guys."

i'm pretty sure GFWL has some 15x install limit then you have to call to reset
probably won't reach it but it could be an inconvienance
Plus I don't like GFWL management.
there's Impulse, D2D, Gamersgate, GOG, Battle.net for Blizzard
GFWL is insignificant compared to all competition
it's nice to know what your computer can do and it's nice to squeeze out the extra performance
plus the added cost on the electric bill is so little unless you have your computer on full load near constantly
it's nice that they support games pretty well but I think it would be a better help to have a more universal physics solution
I've generally switched between Intel and AMD every build and right now am on a AMD build but would love and i7.
Intel's on top because they offer the highest performance and even if game performance isn't any better, people use powerful computers for more than just games and an Intel processor wins there.
It'll stay like this unless Bulldozer comes in with as good or better performance while still having their competitive prices
i don't need the nicest of the nice
just want to upgrade to Bulldozer and get those render times down and maybe a year after that get a new GPU games
only game that fucks with pokemon are super mario in terms of sales
always felt like it was let indie devs experiment on pc and then some devs later try and make it work on controllers for consoles later
GSC Game World - they've had good strategy games and FPS games
fingers crossed for Bulldozer ownage
if it lives up to the hype Intel won't be able to pull crap like this
seems like they are just switching from beta to final version
just a crappy way of publicity
crappy publicity stunt
just exiting beta to final form
can be used like a gift card i guess
it is never to late
i would wait till the end of time for the Duke
he is king
he is my master
he is GOD
yes because he's a main game developer in a great game series but still now kid will never know their father and plus DUI deaths are some the most rage inducing especially when it breaks a family
taking it like a bitch and letting yourself be run over doesn't seem like the right thing to do
people working assembly line in meatpacking is dangerous and terribly underpaid for the risk yet none of that would change if everyone just ignored it and let the industry do as the pleased just so they could marginally raise their profit margins
ignoring everything isn't very smart
don't understand how bootcamp is a plus
buy a mac to buy a copy of windows to run windows software, make an expensive purchase more expensive
On windows there are pretty much multitudes of software to match anything available on mac and i would think that it would be somewhat similar. Maybe not as much variety
it would have been better if he at least had played any of the Gothic games or Risen to compare to
won't matter if they don't retain subscriptions or attract more people
