Lets just say that Crysis didn't exactly set the world on fire. Neither do most PC games. The PC gaming industry at this point is on life support as we know it, So I really don't get the appeal to the Wii/Console market with this technology. The gaming industry/media decided to kill PC gaming with myths about how expensive it is to participate in, how you have to upgrade upgrade upgrade etc. Few PC-Only projects, and even fewer that demand top of the line technology to run.

But somehow, everyone ignored PD & SONY, bought the game, then complained about the fact its not GT4 on a PSP. Im a huge GT fan, but I dont get how you can do a handheld GT... Im thinking of getting it for the GTpsp-GT5 handoff, but I'll do that when GT5 comes out. It wasn't hyped to have a campaign, or customization. Which is the only reason I'd disagree with it being a disappointment as far as HYPE vs Reality.
I kinda was shocked to see the same previewers truncate the game...

The Agent, isn't a PS3 exclusive. Just like That DC world one isn't.
Its not for people who have no idea how to drive a car. Its a simulation. If you don't like simulations, play forza & paint incorrect car models all you want. Or heck, play burnout.
4.5 million buying just the "DEMO" of GT5, and its previous sales at least speak to the userbase that cares to know how to keep wheels on a road.

#2. This is "NEXT GEN" which was illustrated with HD visuals, bigger and better games. No one was awed by pre-rendered "gameplay" mechanics, no. Everyone has been hyping up this gen for the visuals.. Resident Evil, Madden, Gears.. etc.. Because gameplay is pretty much the same for games. Not too many new genres are going to be made kids.

And nothing like the Tokyo track HD-Direct Feed. The time trial has amazing physics. That 370z is fun once you get the hang of it.But yeah, lets wait till a proper GT5 demo is out. Everything is low res in this one, with 1 car on the track. And as others said, there isn't even any grass.
What i've taken from the time trial is a few things. The sense of speed is great, you feel every single bump on the road now, and the car/cocxpit view acts accordingly. The weight of the vehicles...

How does the mathematical physics of driving go "out the window" when you collide 2 objects at 100mph? A flight sim isn't good because it doesn't have fiery crashes... right? Despite how accurate the flight model is... according to you. So when you're doing a time trial... its not an accurate simulation of a vehicle correct?
GT isn't the game for people who haven't the slightest idea how to drive a car, neither are any sims really. Its for users to practice applying rea...
This is just sweet for those of us that decided not to buy the bs. Sure, didn't bankrupt activision, but I don't feel raped. And thats a good thing.
