Now its just being excited for the game, which is fine. But folks are pretending its some sort of technological jesus? How? Having a flashlight in the dark? Non Uncharted like animation or facial expressions? What bar is Alan Wake setting to where even squinting your eyes, you can claim its superior to MGS4/killzone2/uncharted1& 2 etc.
I'm not blind. The most amazing games this gen have been Crysis/Gears/Uncharted/Killzon e2 etc. But where is Alan Wake showing its muscle tha...

Halo3 already Teabag's MW2. MW2 was a 1.5 upgrade, with nothing interesting that BC2 doesn't already cover and exceed. Don't confuse you having fun for a good product.
The reason people hate on MW2 is because its a half ass update. And it has buggy online... with hacks..

But Killzone2's alpha footage was impressive to where people questioned whether or not it was realtime. And then they added polish even for the final product. Same with MGS4/Uncharted1&2/Motorsto rm2 etc.

As far as driving skill & GT.. you will notice that people are just full gas, hardly brake.. Its because they are used to arcade games. Check it out...You can't take a turn at 90mph at full throttle. Nor can you instantly stop physics with braking.

Im not patting developers on the back for doing crappy work. Just like I don't buy crappy electronics, or crappy food.. just kinda goes with having standards.
