no one said they shouldn't report this stuff. all that was brought into question was the credibility and reliability of the information. Considering such things is a healthy way of gauging whether the purchase of the game is worth it. Game journalism is awful, there are so many backhand deals that it is hard to trust the motives of the author. Just like PS4 daily can't ignore the games on ps4, the readers can't exactly ignore that it is their job. also they didn't comment on i...

Was going to say the exact same thing. I really want this to be good. no games i want besides bloodborne

"However, there were a few things that we didn’t really like. For one, The Order 1886 has a brand new world, lots of characters, lots story (and back story), which means there needs to be a lot of cut scenes to explain everything. And there are a lot of cut scenes in the game, especially in the beginning."
The bad thing they had to say about the game is n...

"Incidentally, he also mentions that the story mode takes about thirteen hours to complete, but this could very well be hearsay and not the fruit of direct experience, since a quick verification check on his trophies yields the fact that he did not complete the game yet"

or this could mean he doesn't care about trophies and hasn't bothered syncing them after finishing.

Seems the gap between prerender and in-game is closing in.

Some games are barely hitting 1080p. how is this even a topic right now?

I understand the frustration. but the rewarding nature of these games comes from overcoming something that frustrates you, it comes from learning from your mistakes and becoming more skilled than you were last time. I think this is at the heart of why these games became so popular. They don't hold your hand like most games and you come out the other end against all odds and you can't beat that feeling when you do :)

I am entitled to my opinion. I love the concept of The Order. It's cool as hell, but the gameplay looks boring and repetitive. That being said, i really want it to be good, I want to get lost in a videogame and there is a big gap between now and Bloodborne and the witcher 3. Please be good!!
I watched a trailer for The Order and all the critics were talking about was the graphics. Yes, they are impressive but what about gameplay dammit?

tbh I couldn't care less about cat cam or dog cam or whatever. It seems like a redundant gameplay element and i sure hope it isn't important because it looks boring. Is cat cam the reason they have spent 10 years on this game?

Really happy to see it is looking as beautiful as ever.

It's probably the PC version using an Xbox controller. They do this more often than not

This is messed up. especially considering the game was delayed because it was unfinished. now i'm hearing that they have developed content i won't even get to play, so how do we benefit from the delay at all.

Naughty dog's uncharted series, the last of us and Bioshock games are a good example of this. Linearity by itself isn't the problem, but making it look and feel like a linear game is.

Yes, It was definitely the right thing to do. People have been awful since the dawn of time, which was just a little before video games were created by god in the new testament. there will always be bad people. I don't see anyone banning guns in America so why ban video games. People are responsible for their own shiz. besides, Games like this stop me murdering people in real life.

There seem to be a lot of people on high horses around here saying stuff like "graphics don't matter" and "why is everybody talking about downgrading". But they don't seem to realise that context is important. In a game like The Witcher which is known for great graphics and has indeed mind-blowing trailers to show it, it is a little annoying when the subsequent trailers are very underwhelming and don't inspire the type of excitement the earlier ones did. Graphi...

To be fair. From Software have never been good at delivering stable frame rates. Anyone remember Blight Town?

are you kidding? the foliage, the water, textures. Everything. Everything looks just so great even through compressed youtube footage. They have also taken what they learned with the last of us in terms of shooting mechanics, which is brilliant and the game looks more like Indiana Jones than ever. Wasn't that excited before this.

The article actually never said it wasn't a remaster, only that it wasn't an ordinary one. I think we can all agree though that it is worthy of current gen consoles, it looks amazing.

It does flow nicely but it would flow better in 60FPS :)

While that might seem like the case, you also have to consider that the game is closer to completion now so they DO have stuff to show. I'm just glad that the stuff they have to show is pretty amazing. I mean look at the scale of the world from this small video.
