Nope, it's been fine since patch 3. Patch 4 has also given a major fps boost in most areas
This is horrible news reporting at it's finest. I have the game and play it a LOT. Npc pop-in is reduced, heavily. Is it gone, no but it happens VERY rarely now. I just played 2 hours of the game and saw 0 npcs popping in.
Even though people will play these games, real gamers probably won't.

It excels at combat. Customization and graphics are good, although nothing overly impressive. It fails utterly at level design and story, ultimately making it a slightly above average sci-fi shooter, 7/10.

Assassin's Creed's greatest strength and source of it's longevity has been it's willingness to change, seriously even when comparing 4 and Unity changes are obvious. What Ubisoft has to stop doing is
*not adding ambient music
*releasing more than a game a year
*even mentioning Assassin's Creed before E3
*a marketing blitz
*for the love of god, no more trailers, 3 max
*buggy launches, if the engine is broke, fix it

This game was leaked like 2 days ago and won't release for a year, yet there are already articles.

Unity was announced in March, about 5-6 months after black flag and only because the game leaked and Ubisoft confirmed with a trailer a week later
