Going buy your logic, GT franchise must be going down hill since GT5 Prologue only managed to sell a few million compared to the 13+ million of previous versions. Even worse, GT5 prologue was bundled with PS3s in the UK and sold for £20, that is almost half the price of a full priced retail game. So you would easily expect it to top 15 million at such a price.

Never compare the sales of an expansion, spin off or DLC to the sales of a core game in the series.

- HAlo Reach was announced last year E3, so thats one team dedicated to REACH.
- ANother team mean while had been working on ODST and released it september last year.
- ANother one have been working on their new IP for a while because Activision saw it 9 months ago.

So you can see, that as of the time of E£ 09, Bungie was making 3 full priced retail games. Bungie is much bigger than you think.

@ Sarcasm: How is Bungie making a multiplat game strange?...

Its just like Epics deal with Microsoft concerning Gears of War franchise.Epic develops the game, retains the rights to the IP but Microsoft publishes X amount of instalments. The only difference is that instead of a deal signed for X number of instalments, Bungie signed a deal for 10 years.

Epic has made 2 gears of war games but have also been able to develop and publish Unreal tournament 4 for both the 360 PS3 and PC and now EA will be publishing their next game.

Reading the article will do some good before you comment. The 10 year deal is for just one IP and their other games can be published by anyone.

Why is everyone panicking? The deal is just for one IP

"How dumb is M$ and how smart are Activision....this will send shock waves around the industry...Bungie owns everything that makes Halo, Halo...Marathon."

Bungie doe not own the Hlo IP, Microsoft does. Halo Reach was signed in 07 as Bungies last Halo game and Microsoft setup 343 industries the following year to handle all future Halo related games etc. This move might be a shock to us but Microsoft have known about it for the past 9 months.

Did you not read the article? Did you not read the part that says Activision will publish ALL Bungie games for the next 10 years?

If Sony pays Bungie to make a game for them, Sony cant publish it without Activisions approval. I doubt Sony will be willing to cough up money to pay Bungie to make a game then pay Activision what i can only assume will be nothing less than $100 million to skip publishing rights for that game.

Maybe i should summarize the article for you. ...

Did you read the article because the firm talks about all consoles.

"Millward Brown decided to make things worse and break out brand rankings by platform and it doesn't get any better.

Nintendo has the No. 1 and 2 positions with the Wii and DS respectively ($9.9 billion and $7.8 billion "estimated value," respectively), followed by the Xbox 360 ($4.5 billion) and then the PlayStation 3 ($426 million) PSP ($155 million) and PS2 ($49 million)."

Less than $500 million? That cant be right?

My point exactly Hill Billy. Zero, when did you become the voice for all gamers? Just because you don't want it does not mean that others feel the same way. I want it, and i am a gamer. If done right, i will snap up Move and Natal in a heartbeat.

How can Sony making a Move special bundle be "forcing it on gamers" when there will be cheaper bundles out there that don't include the Move? Will Sony put a gun to your head forcing you to buy the way more expensive Move bundle...

Please can you enlighten us on the exact instance that human beings stepped out in droves asking for the light bulb, electricity, computers, facebook, the automobile,TV's and even the precious games consoles before anyone brought up the idea to make them? IMO that was a very naive statement.

Neither Sony nor Microsoft if forcing it on anyone.Every single PS3 sold will still be bundled with a controller but not all will be bundled with the Move and the same goes for Microsoft.
