"Back in 2000, Sony’s market value had been more than seven times Apple’s. Today, Sony’s market value is only one eleventh of Apple’s, and its share price is little changed from 1995 — the year it launched the digital camcorder.
"
wow!!
I am not experiencing any problems.
Yes we do.
ANyway it does not bother me because i have no plans of buying a 3D TV anytime soon.
Exactly. No interest in it at the moment. Already decided to skip 3D TV's that require glasses and will only make the plunge when the glasses free TV's are very good and reasonably affordable. SO i guess a few more years.
UP
A loss is a loss and it does not matter if they donated it to charity, loan repayments, poor sales etc. You can spin it all you want but at the end of day the underlying fact is that SONY lost money and that is not good for business.
SONY has been bleeding money for 5 years now and 7 years of no profit in the TV business.
""They'd be mad not to do it, is all I can say," said our source. "The machine is not only very capable, it's more capable than the PlayStation 3 of doing stereo, assuming you don't have one of the old crappy ones with the composite leads... assuming you have a HDMI Xbox. "
I taught the problem the 360 had with steroscopic 3d was the fact that it was using hdmi 1.3 not 1.4 like the ps3.
It says fiscal year ending March. SO if i am not mistaken, this does not cover the PSN hack. Anyway, this is not good news.
That just shows that the opinions of fanboys don't count in the real world.
The xbox division has posted a profit every quarter after the launch of Halo 3 in 2007. And as of this deal, did you call Sony desperate when they were bundling a free PS3 with the purchase of a Bravia TV? I guess we already no the answer to that.
343 industries is in charge of Halo now and they are they ones that made the defiant map pack.If Bungie are indeed pressping an XBLA announcement, it most certainly will be a new game.
Because owning a 360 means you have absolutely no means of watching a blu-ray movie at all. Owning a 360 somehow blows up your blu-ray equipped PC/Laptop or dedicated Blu-ray player.
exactly iistuli. I have never bought a COD game since COD2 but i have played MW1 and 2 campaign and i enjoyed it, though not enough to buy them.
But i realize that if that is what people like, then that is their decision and i have no right to judge or insult them.
"But did it ever occurred to you that not all bad things in the world is Sony's fault?" Can you please point to the poster here that said that?
Lets say it's Rockstar's fault, Sony's response should have been to refute Rockstar's claim instead of dragging in the opposition.
Exactly. Why is SONY mentioning the competition? Should they not be working with Rockstar on resolving the issue on their own console?
@ aCasualGamer: "if you are poor and live in a place where there is no internet connection, the last thing you should be doing is waste your valuable time in playing videogames." WTF are you talking about?
What makes you think that everyone that is in a 3rd world country is poor? I am Nigerian and i grew up in Nigeria for 25 years of my life. I owned the NES, SNES, PE1,PS2, XBOX, N64, and had my 1st year ownership of the 360 in Nigeria. Guess what? most of my friend...
He is correct but i still like the feature. I only use custom soundtracks for racing games and nothing else. Just completed Reach and Enslaved and i could not ever imaging myself playing the game with anything other than the ingame music associated with the games.
I am an xbox owner and i could careless if the game is ex lusive or not. All i am interested in is if the game is good or not.
Bought Kinect on amazon yesterday with kinect sport and dance central. So more games announced for the device are welcome. If they will be good or not, remnains to be seen.
As of March 31st 2011, the PS3 shipped 50 million and as of January 2011, the 360 had shipped 53.4 million.
Has the gap actually increased again?
