@Gwiz PS4 already 2 years old, no Japanese Games using UE4 on PS4, Clearly UE4 lacks of Development in Japan is a Fact.
PS4 already 2 years old. There should at least 1 Japanese Game that use UE4 on PS4. But There's None, not even indies. Unity 5 got Enlighten for free, its cheaper if you want more realistic lighting, but in Japan, its adoption still as slow as UE4.
Epic Games, should carry half the blame for the state that FFVII remake currently is.
"too much content in the original one for a remake of the game on >>> Unreal Engine 4 <<< to meet the deadlines, but the developers have failed to weigh in what the players actually want and balance it with Square Enix’s own desire: profit."
Profit? Unreal Engine 4 creator, Epic Games also desire Profit.
Simple PS4 design is a good thing to learn. They can also learn few things from PC gaming.
Steam OS. Able to use Desktop GPU as "Supplemental Computing Device". $299 1080p gaming console.
With Steam OS could increase Nintendo 3rd Party/Indie game on NX. Gamers could buy Desktop GPU like AMD R9 380/R9 Nano and plug it to NX to increase Game Resolution/Details/Graphics.
I'm worry about games that use Epic Games's Unreal Engine 4 Open-World Capabilities, compared to Fox Engine which can make beautiful open world game on the PS3 and PS4.
Explain why it cost Bloodstained (2 years) and PS4 Exclusive, Develop by Unreal Engine 3 Experts, Let It Die(3 years) to develop with Unreal Engine 4? Why would they take so long time to complete their?
Facts: Bloodstained got kickstarters watching it, they won't let Koji Igarashi be lazy and slow. Grasshopper Studio with all their Artistic and Style are very discipline and strict on development time.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night team & budget was small, minuscule compare to Final Fantasy 7 in size and scale. A game playable, functioning, bug-less game on PS1, with both the game engine and the whole game made in 2 years.
20 years later Bloodstained, an indie game, powered by Unreal Engine 4, from the people who made Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with the same style, development start 2015, Release date 2017, with no time spend on creating their own engine a...
FF7 3 yrs, FF8 2 yrs, FF9 2 years. 4 years Dev Time is not normal, its Retarded(ie. slow). We shouldn't Blame the Customer, for EPIC GAMES Failures to cut game development time. Name ONE Japanese Game Release on PS4 before 2016 that use Unreal 4? There's NONE. It's an UNREAL EPIC FAIL.
We shouldn't put all the blame on the game developer. Epic Games also bears some blame, for their laziness in building the Unreal engine 4.
4 years to develop Kingdom Hearts 3 that's huge long time. Unreal Engine 4 is retarded(ie. slow), PS4 Already 2 years old, Epic Games failed to deliver an engine that would cut development time significantly. Epic Fail!
What have Epic Games been doing these past 2 years? "Unreal 4, 4 years game development is standard". Epic Games you've lost it. Bring the huge long game development time down!
