No one from Bethesda game Studios (dev who made Elder Scrolls and fallout) were at the Bethesda booth at E3 so I doubt this, unless they were hiding in the shadows the whole time.
When I saw the timeline it was pretty obvious, if I remember correctly every game that came before OoT supposedly happened in the third timeline, where link died, so they only made that timeline so they had a place to put the pre-OoT games and not just wave them from existence. Its obvious OoT was the first game where they started wanting to make a (somewhat) coherent overarching story.
THe original Legend of Zelda was actually going to take place in both the Hyrules medieval past and its blade runner-istic future, but they abandoned That idea and so should any other new Zelda, a futuristic Zelda wouldn't be Zelda at all.
First 1hr 15min, pretty good, they didn't really show any exclusive game that screamed I NEED THIS CONSOLE but it was good enough for me to forget about the consoles DRM issues while watching. MGS 5 and Witcher 3 looked fantastic and was happy to see them which made the actual conference better but didn't persuade me to get an Xbox since they're on PS4 and Witcher is on PC.
Then when that guy said $500 it knocked me back and was like "yeah no"
Ti...
I can almost guarantee its F4, the team was working on two projects, Skyrim, and an unannounced title. So unless they were working on ES5 and ES6 at the same time its Fallout 4.
Plus they mentioned F4 and what people would want in it on their official forums just a few weeks ago.
New Vegas is definitely more of a successor than Fallout 3, but I'm not sure if I want Obsidian to make Fallout 4, I mean they are amazing storywise and with a game's RPG mechanics, but that ambition is greatly hindered by their lack of technical prowess to make it all work.
Fallout engine is buggy period, but every game Obsidian has made is riddled with bugs, FNV, KotOR 2 (more LucasArts fault than them I guess)and Alpha Protocol, hell Fallout 2 was made by a lot of ...
THe 3 1/2yr dev time gives me hope, every Bioware game (not counting TOR) made since EA bought Bioware has only had around a 2yr Dev time or less, with DA2 only coming out 15 months after DAO.
Most of the same people From DAO are still on the DA3 team and some of the ME team moved on to the team (Patrick Weekes, one of the best ME writers). Everything points to this being a winner.
Is it bad that this makes me want to buy an iPad, even though I already have this on Xbox and PC?
Was just a joke, not really mad, but find it funny he'd say that considering how crazy people (including me) get over Zelda and just the fact it could have actually bee shown today.
"Hey guys, you know that one game you wanted to be shown, yeah we aren't showing it. And guess what else, it's not because there's nothing to show, we totally could have shown you it, but fuck you."
Oh so he tricked the Prometheon into thinking he was an ordinary person? That actually makes that scene make some sense and kind of hints at the story more since Chief is hunting Promethons.
Got to admit thats not the first thing that would come to mind and thought it was a stupid "oh sh*t its the chief!" moment (which it was, but now that there is an explanation for the poncho its not so stupid)
Kind of feel bad for hating on it and I'm happy...
@snipermk0
He was one of the more memorable people against God of War's Bros before Hoes trophy and saying it was sexist.
Demo still had silly moments, so they have only toned down the humor, looks cool regardless, only thing I'm battling now is the price tag, yeah I can save up $500 in 5 Months, but... I just don't know, especially considering All the controversy around the Xbox beforehand.
Many may consider this good news, but now Double Helix is working on it.
Out of the frying pan, and into the fire.
Xbox One $500. F*ck that noise
The guys who made Silent Hill Homecoming, GI Joe movie game and the Battleship movie game
Double Helix... Are you serious Microsoft, its like you want to get are hopes up just to crash em down. I mean you couldn't get ANY other developer?
So this was the amazing thing Geoff Keiley was freaking out about.
Got high hopes for this one. Yeah DA2 was a disappointment but that came out like 15 months after DAO and since the team worked on DAO still after it released (with Awakening and the other dlc) means it had even less time to be developed. DA3 has been worked on for over two years now and hasn't even been fully unveiled, all we officially know is the name.
This is Biowares last chance, this game will make em or break em.
Well for one, they announced most of the games before E3 with tweets, and the new Mario doesn't look as revolutionary as every other 3d Mario game thats on their consoles. Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy were all amazing premiere Mario games for their respective consoles. 3D World is just a sequel to 3D land with cat costumes.
