They shipped 10 million copies. They sold a lot less than that. I'm sure their servers are optimized for 10 million players. Or is EA stupid?
No one cares. Consoles is where COD really shines.

I play COD and I think deathmatch is boring. I mostly play Capture the Flag(an objective based mode). COD does it better. I played the BF3 beta dude. Its horrible.

I can definitely see an increased focus on digital downloads on portables.(Like the Vita which will launch all games digitally Day 1). But for consoles, games will only keep increasing in size.
Internet isn't affordable enough for most people to download huge files really fast. Bandwidth caps are still annoying. I don't see ISPs doing anything about this any time soon.
Is Battlefield really available on the PS Store? I didn't see it.
Anyway I'll stick to Blu-Ray thank you very much. I like my physical media. I can always trade it in if I'm in need of some cash.

Yes please. It doesn't have to be "cartoony". Just make it more fun. Call of Duty manages to balance realism with arcade-style fun. It CAN be done.
If it has Frostbite 3.0 you can bet gamers will pre-order it instantly because of "teh graphicz".
If it has Frostbite 2.0 DICE will be accused for using an outdated engine.
