Amazon pretty much said PS4 will outsell the Xbox 1 already. So that means PS4 will sell more than 150k.
Sony says it may break the PSP record so PS4 may even sell above 185k.
My best guess is ~220k, assuming there's enough stock.
That's for the UK only. Europe as a whole I predict 1.2million sales in the first week.
PS5 in ~6 years please.
Mobile tech is advancing so fast. It's nearly impossible for consoles to last 10 years with their ancient tech. 4K will be mainstream in a few years so I suppose that will be the biggest selling point for PS5.
I am thankful for being one of the first to own a PS4.(and that it works!)
They're PC developers and they're used to Windows. So yeah, Xbox One is as close to a windows console as you can get. That's not a positive thing though, PS4 is much more powerful and lets developers code "to the metal".
I don't think they're saying PS4 development is hard exactly, its just hardER to push such a powerful system and make full use of it.
PS4s entertainment functions are more than enough for the average consumer.
Of course there's still stuff missing like DLNA and MP3 support but that's been confirmed to come in a future firmware update.

PS4 already launched in the US. Yes, it did have some problems but if you managed to log in, you were fine. Didn't last 16 hours though. PSN was unstable for launch weekend and fixed itself after that.(kinda)
I think Halo is doing a pretty good job at killing itself.

Vgcharts is not exactly a reliable source for sales. But even if those sales are right, take a look at what really matters....active player base. It's a huge flop in that regard.
3rd party games sell much better on Vita. They have to be made first though.
On the 3DS 3rd parties have to compete with Pokemon/Mario/Zelda...and now even Monster Hunter(which itself had its legs cut short by Pokemon)
