I was with you until you you said switch to Steam....I don't like digital at all. My internet connection just isn't good enough to do huge downloads, and I don't see internet bundles getting cheaper any time soon.

I think this is spot on. This is why there is an ESRB. Parents need to follow it.
If cloud gaming ever becomes the main or only feature of a console, I won't buy it. If Sony thinks they can extend the life of the PS3 with some lame cloud service no one can use, then don't be surprised when everyone ends up buying an Xbox 720 at launch.

Sounds easy enough to buy a larger HDD but how will he transfer all his saves and stuff? The DLC and install data? all that will have to be done again and its a pain.
