What's really sad is he needs an arrow to guide him. How sad a passion needs to be told everything to do in a game.

I not bothered by the score (if from another publication), but Polygon are untrustworthy. Wouldn't buy / or not buy a game on their say so

Polygon gave Sim City 9.5... Awful site.

I think the second biggest thing is the paywall for the apps. It's cheaper to get a Chromecast than a year of Live! People are not gonna pay access for fees on top of $500.

English retailer's always do this (happened with the WiiU, 360, PS3 etc), prices will drop when the console becomes more mainstream (after a year or so).

Don't believe his lies.

Please stop thinking a handful of people on the internet represent all potential PlayStation 4 owners. It's stupid. Loads of people are excited about seeing Metal Gear Solid V.

I think if they can make enough consoles, it could be as high as 6 or 7 million. It's the right product, at the right time with the right price.

All Microsoft has done has damaged the chances of many people buying the console. All this talk about PR talk about DRM means they plan to bring it back in some form. I've gone from a person who would have bought the console in the first year, to not at all.

He's not signed a NDA, he's a customer, not a developer. He has not done anything wrong.

Why should a legitimate owner have to wait to use something they bought & paid for?

4488d ago 21 agree4 disagreeView comment

You can't stop owners talking about products they've bought. This is cracked / hacked hardware, he's literally looking at the UI & games. It's indefensible.

This is why a all digital isn't part of my future. I imagine this might be permanent, a couple of people who got Halo 4 early had to buy new consoles & make a new profile / buy digital games again. Microsoft should be blaming Target, not legitimate owners. Disgusting.

So it's a lower frame rate & resolution without the cloud? Microsoft have stopped making making sense now. It's sad.

If anyone is gonna buy it, it's either Time Warner or Amazon. Sony might buy some IP's though

No doubt it has lots of zombies on screen, but they hardly require complex AI routines. The animation, textures, AA & lighting all look better on a PS3 game, that's totally unacceptable, no matter how you cut it.

Last of Us looks better than this. Embarrassing.

If Microsoft went with a different RAM set up, they would have had the same system as Sony (bar the compute focus, extra ROPS, hUMA & extra bus)

The differences are going to become more pronounced as MS are going to be reliant on tiling while PS4 developers will be able to programme to the metal. Xbox One is going to have beautiful games, but I think differences are going to be very pronounced, especially with Sony's first party games.

Not directly, but Kinect made MS go with DDR3 RAM & ESRAM, which took 6 CU's (of 18) off the die so the ESRAM would fit (both MS & Sony are using the same APU). Also ESRAM has to be programmed in software, which is very time consuming. This has lead to lower resolution games. Lastly, 10% of the GPU is taken by the OS's, which includes Kinect's.
