I enjoyed this game. Shame news of a sequel has all but dried up, looking increasingly likely it's been canned.
It's different horses for different courses.
Kojima provides self referential, overly in depth games with dialogue that does nothing to further the main story arc. Much like many film directors do.
However it works, the MGS series has carved itself a niche in games that many others would kill to have.
Want subtlety and vagueness of story, go play ICO or Shadow of the Colossus. It's the variety of the gaming landscape that makes it so enjoyable. If everyt...
This is how to beat the pirates.
Reminds of when Football Manager Devs made pirate copies of their game run so the team that finished bottom won the league. Imagine putting in all the hours that a season takes to find that out! Brilliant!
This man is a legend. I love his work.
I liked Psychonauts but I never had the patience to finish it. I really should get back into it.
One of my life goals is to have my own full standing mame cabinet. This would do nicely for my bathroom, have it right next to the toilet.
(hey who are you to mock me, it's not like it's my main life goal!)
I really want this game now, at first I was like "meh", then I was like "orly??" then when I got to play the demo I was like "OMG no wai kewl!!"
If I had friends I'd tell them about this game.
Can't wait 'til they release the sales figures for this service.
Oh dear...
Another childhood favourite killed. I want to go back to the 80s and live. Only I'm allowed to take my PSP.
Yeah it is targeted at kids, but why do I want it?
I want monsters in my hand!!
Whoever wrote that quote about Gran Turismo hit the nail right on the head.
I love this machinima.
This looks very much like a love/hate game.
One that will have you coming back for more and more.
Could this be further proof that the iPhone will never be a legitimate contender to the PSP and DS?
The man has paid his debt to society, whether you feel that sentence was sufficient is another argument.
Let's see how he goes, but if he slips up again, he can say goodbye to his career.
I liked PSW for a while. I remember the most used issue of PSW I have is the one that had a walkthrough for Driver on PSX.
You've got to get your priorities straight, when any hobby takes precedent over family then it's a problem.
I hope the guy can get his priorities correct and resolve his family issues.
I think it invokes a stronger emotional reaction when there's a sense of loss, a bitter-sweet ending.
HL2, CoD4, MGS4 and many others all have this theme running through them.
"I've won, but I don't feel like a winner"
Who do you disagree with?
The article is an interview with the game's creator. The intro to the article states that the writer has changed his perception of the game after first impressions wore off.
This game made me feel really uncomfortable playing it. Amazing to think that this generations outstanding graphics hardly register, yet Nes-like graphics depicting rape has me squirming in my chair.
Powerful stuff.
Poor planning of resources is what leads to "the PS3 is too hard to program for" excuses.
When you see stuff like Uncharted it is an excuse that is very difficult to believe. Maybe some devs don't like hard work?
