What particular online services are you referring to mate?
Games can be downloaded with a HK/JAP PSN account through a PS3, online services can still be connected to through wi-fi (however lag may be an issue) and given that the system is region-free games that are released in the UK/US can be bought and played on the system. Facebook and Twitter connectivity will work no problem. The only services that (obviously) won't work are the 3G specific services.
Escape Plan looks excellent. I'm really excited to see how this one turns out.
haha, I took a while to make my mind up!
Yeah, thing is I really wanna enjoy an online game and the co-op aspect of these titles. It's just it seems 90% of the games I'd go into were filled with idiots!
A nice holo-deck like they have in Star Trek would be rather nice. That or the Gundam. :)
course it's not dead. The only people who truly believe so are those who see the glass as consistently half empty.
patience is a virtue. You should know, you've been waiting for this for long enough!
Splinter Cell and GOW3 - My two fave games of 2010 so far. :)
I absolutely loved strategy games back in the day. If I had more time to invest I'd certainly pick this up.
oooh burn!
Looks like a quick cash-in then.
Really hope they bring out some completely original short stories as DLC like they intimated in interviews before the game's release.
Precision matters if the game depends on it. So if Sony has a bunch of first and third party titles secured that will capitalise on the tech then it's a winner.
But Wii Sports didn't have much "precision" and it was awesome (for a while), so who knows?
Heavy Rain was awesome, but yeah, some rather large plot holes.
Also, JASON!
I often find myself re-playing or changing the way I would play a game for achievements. I'm no achievement hunter, but I do like how they can change the way you approach a game and breathe new life into it.
Good stuff.
I enjoy the mode, but it's more of a sideshow attraction to the real meat of the game for me.
I was thinking about my own play style in this, and what type of game eats up most of my time.
I first thought about Final Fantasy and how it has kept me so engrossed for years. Then I thought about Ridge Racer and Geometry Wars, which have kept me playing for many an hour just to beat my own previous best.
There's no real winner I guess.
Ah this reminds me of a somewhat funny story.
Years ago, when I worked in a well known games retailer, a guy came in on a Monday morning saying he had bought the game on the Friday and spent all weekend trying to get it to work.
My colleague tried to troubleshoot a little, asking his system specs. When I came over and said "silly question, but do you have internet access?" To which he looked at me puzzled and said "no, why?"
Wing Commander and Red Alert 2. My most favourite live action cutscenes ever! :D
Llama actually looks like his avatar pic now. He needs a shave.
You may well be right actually. I could only hazard a guess. :)
