My bad, I assumed they were one and the same. Fixed.
What do you mean? The patch is there, I have the trophy list up right now, looking through it. Definitely working. :D
The Medal of Honor Heroes games are both FPS games on the PSP and they work well enough, but a second analog stick would be great.
Good article but MGS4's cutscenes were too long and not much different than any other game's cutscenes. An excellent game, just not so good for demonstrating cutscenes done right.
I'm not a keyboard and mouse guy, but I still think it'd be nicer if Sony added kb/ms-to-controller mapping in the firmware, configurable in the XMB settings menu... Then every game would support kb/ms, gamers who normally stick with PC would make the jump easier, and then people playing online with a hardware adapter or special controller wouldn't have as much of an advantage over everyone else, since people who prefer gamepad could still use gamepads, and people who want kb/ms could just us...
Heh, yeah, the game looks awesome. I hate Valve, and even before I got a PS3 I didn't like their games. I don't know why. I am one of the few who couldn't get into Half-Life.
I did like Portal, though. But the rest, meh.
Good for you. I hope you get to the last level of Killzone 2 and then your Blu-ray drive busts so you need to get a new PS3 and start over from the beginning again.
You're wrong. If you try and restore your backup onto a new PS3 - ie: if your current one breaks and Sony replaces it - then you LOSE YOUR SAVED GAMES that are copy-protected. Did you even read the article?
It's not if your PS3 dies and Sony replaces it with another one. The restore process does NOT restore your copy-protected saved games if you have a different PS3, which is the point of the article. And there are much better solutions than to prevent this, such as locking games to a PSN ID.
I had my copy delivered to my door... Thanks Amazon! Screw GameStop.
Ever heard of the PlayStation Store?
I'm not saying this guy is right, but if he has some sources and it turns out he is right, Sony will need to do a TON of marketing to make it clear to the less intelligent customers out there, that all games must be bought online.
They'd need massive servers to hold all of the PS3 games out there, but this was rumored earlier this week, or maybe last week.
I think it'd be a dumb move, personally... But Sony needs to d...
Regardless of the studios Microsoft has, the fact remains that they have very few IPs that I care about.
I'd buy a 360 if they released some exclusives that don't come out for PC that mattered whatsoever. I hate Halo, and Gears isn't enough to get me to drop $200 on a kamikaze console.
There are positives and negatives to both console futures... But, as gamers, we don't have much control over what will happen. If there was a unification, I bet not many gamers would reject it and swear off of gaming altogether - that'd be silly. The same people claim that PC gaming isn't dead, and yet, that's sorta the same world as the unified console idea.
I tried explaining that to him, but he reported me.. Probably cuz I might have said something about removing one part of his body from another. Then he teased me because he has Killzone 2. I'm not even that excited about KZ2, though I am definitely buying it. But anyhow..
I sure hope you're right.. There are already rumors about it, and it really just makes sense.
@The Hunter:
“It goes live on Feb. 5th to redeem your code if you pre-ordered from GameStop. Unfortunately those in Europe will have access to the demo on their PSN but in North America we are working through our pre-order program.”

You'd be surprised how many lazy people there are. They'll spend an hour entering random codes, but won't take 3 minutes to make a UK account.
Except, you're wrong. People can already use keyboard and mouse adapters on the PS3, but they need to pay for them. If the capability was built in to the PS3, then it would be a more level playing field.
It won't happen though, so think I'll order a FragFX controller for myself.
Preference is personal. You clearly prefer the Xbox 360 controller, so use that console. Oh, you want a PS3 so you can play the games that 360 won't get? Then suck it up, or buy a 3rd-party USB 360 pad clone - the PS3 supports most USB gamepads. Logitech has a Chillstream pad that works and is very similar to the 360.
I am one of the 20+ million PS3 users that love the DualShock design, and don't want to see it changed in any significant way. The 360's staggered sticks don't make...
That's odd.. I'm in Canada, myself, and I didn't get a patch notice until tonight.
