Am I the only one that gets darkest dungeon vibes from some of the mechanics in this game?
Their real problem is dumping valuable resources into bullshit trend like NFTs or forcing studios to use really predatory monetization like the mankind divided "augment your preorder" fiasco. Square has relied on the goodwill they built in the 90s for the last 20 years and have released less high quality games in that time than they did from just 96 to 99, let alone what they did in the rest of that decade.
No shit? Hahaha low news day.
Fable 2 was the best inthe series. Peter waaaaaaay over promised with fable 1 and it was good but disappointing. He didn't go crazy eith hype for the second game and it was surprisingly awesome. Then he ran his mouth promoting 3 and it was the worst of the 3.
Can't wait until this whole deal has either closed or fallen through.
In my region it is only $1 increase, so basically only $12. Nowhere near $200. Assuming the price increase is proportionate in most regions then it will still not be as aggressive as that comment inferred.
@prime157 you can absolutely put lipstick on a pig. Hell, We put eyebrows on the dog once. I suggest you try it. The expressions become more human and absolutely hilarious.
Oh, snap! Shots fired!
Are they still using the Frankenstein engine they have used for the last 20+ years? I wonder how much of bethesda signature jank would improve if they would just start using a modern game engine.
Well, cyberpunk already tackled this same kind of issues. The last of us... silent hill. Hell, xenogears had some very mature themes and concepts. They are the reason it was not final fantasy 7. We have know for 20 + years now that games are not just for children. The GTA games have always been full of mature content, but I will admit that they have usually been presented in immature ways.
Just came to see the salt. Not disappointed.
This sounds a lot like the game EA canceled a whole back that Amy hennig was running.
I never see much hate for the genre. Problem is the commercial viability. For every human revolution or dishonored you have a mankind divided or dishonored 2. Have a game sell like crazy then many more sell under expectations. Even though they are solid and profitable, they just don't often sell enough for the suits. Just hoping System Shock Remake sells enough for a remake 2. As a fan of the genre, it kinda sucks seeing it wax and wane every few years.
I could be way off here... but my understanding is denuvo drm on PC is total balls and eats cpu. Denuvo anti-cheat is more benign. I have not really had much issue myself as a PC player but I don't usually buy my games right at release so I may be getting patched versions that play nicer than the release date versions.
I'm right there with you. I just rolled credits a couple days ago and hav been wanting more. I ended up really loving the game. Warts and all.
I dont mind the open world, I just can't see how they can keep topping this kind of game. Maybe a half and half kind of thing. Similar open world with a stronger traditional zelda format? I dunno. I'm just an old gamer who grew up collecting empty bottles and really miss that aspect of the game. The unique items that link would get.
Ridiculously refreshing, Amma right? Those tab turning physics.
As bioware slowly became less narrative driven, I slowly lost interest. Bioware is not know for riveting gameplay.
You nailed it. IMHO, im not sure how this thing failing would be MS's fault. As you said, windows is windows. Microsoft is a shit company in a lot of ways, but this thing living or dying depends on how they make the software and hardware interact... and the price to performance ratio of course.
King is well know to be really chill with this kind of thing. And with official adaptations. It's cool and shitty. We have had so many low quality movies.
