Personally, I need both good gameplay and a good story. If I don't care about the characters or their motivations, then quite frankly there's no reason to bother completing the game in question.
This is old...
Have you guys seen this video yet?

That's how it is in real life as well. When you get close to someone you can see all the small details on their faces.. Pores , wrinkles individual hairs, etc.. But you can't see those features from a distance.
From what I've seen the sixaxis is mainly used when your character gets caught in a struggle and needs to break free. Lets say you're being strangled, then you'll have to shake the controller to break free. It's just to make it more immersive.
As for the QTE's ,they're basically a non-issue in Heavy Rain. Most gamers dislike them because they're frustrating. Miss one prompt and you have to redo the whole thing. But in Heavy Rain, missing a prompt just gives you a different resu...
No... the kid's name is Reza..
Sounds like you're the one who doesn't know what a QTE is. In all the footage they've shown so far there were only three QTE's.
The fight scene in the junkyard. The part where Madison dances, during the nightclub scene. And the fight scene during the convenience store robbery. That's it.
I'd suggest you do some research and familiarise yourself with how to distinguish between QTE's and contextual actions. It could spare you the embarrasment of making such an ignorant comment i...
Yes, all the characters in the game are modeled after the actor who portrays them. The four lead characters are played by the following actors :
Madison Paige : Jacqui Ainsley
Norman Jayden : Leon Ockenden
Ethan Mars : Pascal Langdale
Scott Shelby : Sam Douglas
I actually liked the water level in Uncharted. I'm surprised that they didn't mention the water levels in Banjo Kazooie. The ones in the first game were pretty annoying, since you had to swim for pretty long stretches to find an item. Then turn tail and get the hell out of there fast before your air ran out.
I liked the water level in Banjo Tooie, though. The one where Mumbo oxygenates the water in the lake, thus allowing you to stay submerged indefinately without the fear of d...
Yeah, I saw that one too. There's an instance where Scott accidently knocks a box of detergent of a shelf. The crook will know you're there, if you fail to catch it in time. There's also some potato chips strewn across the floor in one of the aisles. Stepping on them will also give you away.
No... there was only 1 QTE. The part where he wrestles the gun away from the robber. Here's a suggestion. Why don't you try finding out what a QTE actually is ,before making a comment like that.
All this Forza vs GT rubbish is basically a repeat of the Infamous vs Prototype crap we had to endure a few months ago. Where the lesser game uses the superior game to score some free publicity. Prototype would have received no exposure had it not been so vehemently compared to Infamous. And they same is true for Forza with regards to GT.
Thing is, a lot of gamers believe that the price and the review scores for Halo ODST are unjustified. Cause more often than not the score doesn't correspond with what's actually written in the review. Professional critics are supposed to rate a game based on the entire package. Gameplay, sound ,graphics, presentation, lasting appeal.. they should all be rated and given an overall score. If any one aspect falls short then the game should lose points. What's upsetting a lot of gamers is the fac...
Remember the good old days when we could actually trust review scores? It used to be that when a game scored an 8 or higher, that meant it was good. No ifs and buts about it.. No fanboyism.. no politics.. just honest opinions.. But, now..
There's nothing wrong with the controls. They just take a some getting used to. This guy doesn't seem to know how to play the game. Take the part where you have to take a bottle from the shelf. It's a move you're supposed to do SLOWLY , but this guy is under the impression that it must be done quickly. Which is why he messed it up.
@ Coolfool
Of course he can't prove it. SE has only shown one video of the game running on 360. And the picture quality is so bad, it's impossible to make a call on how well it runs on 360.
As for ApolcalyPS3's comment on the framerate drops in the ps3 version, that's BS as well. The demo runs 100% smoothly during gameplay. There are only framerate drops during the in-game cutscenes. And that should be sorted out by the time the game is released.
FFXIII's battles are not turn based. They're similar to FFXII. It's real-time but you have to wait for the action gauge to fill before you can execute a move.
That's cause it was downgraded. I've played the demo in 720p HD and visually speaking it looks just like every other multiplat game. It's decent, but nothing special. Besides, how can you rate the graphics based on these videos? The picture quality sucks. You can't even make anything out.
Here you go. Some footage for all the playable characters.

You don't understand. Things are different in Japan. If you want to buy things like the PS3 slim or FFXIII on launch day ,you quite literally have to fight off a stampede..
I have faith in Sucker Punch. They know what they're doing.
