The red faction demo compelled me to go to gamestop and rebuy guerilla. Love it.
Loving this map pack.
I was confused by what you said at first but then thinking it could be a spoiler, kind of understood.
At the same time, it doesn't really spoil anything. Valve originally spoiled it by releasing the Potatoe Sack which made no sense but in retrospect completely does but still means nothing.
Now slow clap processor would be more of a spoiler.
So we have that. 8p
Ot but along the same lines - they raised the price of cigarettes in my state of ny to around $10 a pack. I still see lots of people smoking.
If people like something, like more maps and zombies they'll buy it. I have a couple of buddies who only play COD. While kind of sad, the $45 extra they spend doesn't really matter when compared to what hardcore gamers spend on gaming year round. Like me.
I for one can't wait until tomm afternoon.
I agree. WIth the amount of time a person plays the MP in this game, the $3 per map more than evens out in the long run.
I've bought ever COD map pack since 4 and have gotten my time out of them. These articles only pander to the already disenfranchised and serve to annoy those of us who don't care.
I paid $15 for Limbo. Thought it was awesome the ONE time I played it.
I've bought dvds and blu rays for more money that I only wa...
I thought it was better than Oblivion. Morrowind was too. This game was a refreshing experience.
Scarface 2.
Let us have our moment. 9/11 was terrible.
OT - Best Buy charged my dad $1000 to preinspect his wall, install and etc when he bought his hdtv years ago - I LOLed hard when I found out. When he moved later I did it within five minutes for free.
When I got a holiday job there years later, I worked in the media department and they wanted us to suggest sell additional services to consumers along these lines when buying gaming products. I never did. I would always...
I just picked it up at Toys R Us for $30. Glad I waited.
Recessions rule.
DLC already on the disc doesn't rule though.
My psn ran out a month ago and I can still play everything like stacking, sam and max, etc. it's strange because I didn't think I could.
It's weird because a week before it happened they promised something major, something major did happen and they didn't do (apparently).
Love it. They're children with too much time on their hands.
I like all of those games with my favorite being Half Life 2. That game was awesome. I'm diehard Valve now because of it which is why I love Portal so much. Everything is top notch.
I've had to force myself to beat evert COD campaign since WaW which is weird because I played through 4 three times. I chalk it up to diminishing returns. The mp always hooked me but not so much since mw2.
I'm hopeful though that the genre still has legs.
I know that. I'm was sort of taking the basic concept of the genre and looking for different variations of it like perhaps a first person puzzle game with a taste of dark British humor might work.
IDK. I play every fps so I understand where the author is coming from but I don't feel hopeless. Games like Portal exist.
Does Portal 2 count as a FPS since it's in that perspective and uses a gun-like tool? If so, it's proof that the genre isn't that bad off. That game is sweet.
I kind of agree with this writers points save for the last one. I'm a fan of rpgs and love the marriage between both genres. Starting at nothing and growing yoir character into somone powerful is so satisfying. Otherwise you're just playing Serious Sam a boring coridor shooter.
Uncharted 3 will be awesome. By then the network will be back up, hopefully the clown(s) will be arrested and all of this will be forgotten. People have limited memory. Just look at voting trends in elections.
Trite generalizations like assuming gamers are slow to forgive are this bloggers opinion. This incident does nothing to tarnish Sony's brand for me.
True. I haven't touched co-op yet. I also can't wait to replay the game knowing the full context of the storyline too. It'll make for a richer experience.
Dlc should feature more cam johnson. His tirade about lemons and glados's almost-orgasmic reaction was epic. "He says what we're thinking." I love it. Little things like that make this game what it is a story where the ai are actually human by being ripe with emotion and the human, chell, is t...
I like how they took a format (puzzles solved via chambers) that couldn't normally have a cohesive story and somehow managed to not only make one, but one rich with history, great dialogue and other narrative depth.
spoiler:
the moment wheatley became the villian and glados as a potatoe sack your ally, the game became something wonderful.
only valve could have made the impossible the possible.
Yeah towards the end of my playthrough i was rushing through it to get to the end and now i wish i hadn't because now i want more.
The moment when Glados says she's a potatoe and then proceeds to use her slow-clap processor almost makes this game nearly perfect. That's just :17 seconds of gametime too.
Not to mention the scenes with the black turrets, the cute cube/turret hybrids that follow you like sad dogs, the lemon speech, the yellow line towards the mantis men, etc. This game is awesome.
Other games will be grander no doubt, but none will be as memorable as this one. Plus ...
