Exactly but I went to another one and used the credits on Homefront 8( so I kind of lost out in the long run -

I went to gamestop to trade in some games and buy this. During the transaction the CSR asked if I wanted to preorder something. I said yes and afterwards he handed me my edge card and copy of bulletstorm. I got in my car and saw that he never charged me for it. So I got a copy for free and for that alone, I loved this game. Now with the GOW beta, I love it even more.

In my case I'll be going away in a month and will be far removed from normal society for four months meaning no internet and no videogames. For me Portal 2, length withstanding is a great send off.

Also I've bought plenty of blu ray and dvd boxsets like ones from HBO and the BBC (which are always expensive) over the years that cost way more and that I've only watched once. Like this game, I don't regret buying them.

I remember buying SM used at EBgames during middle school and being blown away by it.

I thought Metroid Prime 1 was pretty epic too.

I think it would be cool. Perhaps author would be satisfied with a Portal box where there are six Portal-themed games including Portal Sports, Lego Portal, Portal 2, Portal 2 Ep 1, Portal 2 Ep 2 and a multiplayer variant like Battlefield:Portal. Only then would it be considered a Triumph!!!!

The Orange Box came out before the recession. We won't see deals like that for a long time. I could be wrong but when a big mac is almost $5 because of rising food cost due to inflati...

When Glados came back from the dead all scary-like, I was like "hell yes! this game is such a triumph!"

Now I'm told it's not. I don't know what to believe anymore. Perhaps life isn't worth living.

But as a sequel to Portal being more of Portal only improved, not sure what this dude expected in order for it to be a grande experience. I paid the same price for games with much less value or worth so the standard has already been set. A...

I agree with the HR comp, it does feel like it. To me it's like that, Battlefield and Monday Night Combat another xbla game that caught me by surprise as being awesome.

I played for the alloted 30 minutes with the trial said OMG, got in my car, bought a xbla point card at target, went home and paid for the game.

That's all that matters to me. These guys are clowns.

For example, Ign for awhile stopped reviewing new episodes of Fringe yet had no problem propping up their review for Glee on the top of their page each week. Their priorities are mainstream and not representative of us nerds.

When is this coming out? Summer?

I can't believe that it's only $15. I just watched a bunch of videos on youtube and it looks awesome. Not to flame but it looks like it has as much if not more content then Homefront which retailed for $60.

Going to at least check out the demo.

I rented it, beat it once, loved it yet couldn't find the urge to replay it. Likened to a film you buy and watch every now and then for less than $20 bucks it's comparable to that experience.

I got this last week and I can't stop playing it. The game is a refreshing experience especially after playing Dragon Age 2.

They both have their place but I have my eyes set on Portal at least immediately. Next week def this game I liked the demo.

Awe...some. That level took me by surprise because before it was just chambers and then the game suddenly became self-referential ala The end of the Wizard of Oz with the curtain being pulled. It was brilliant.

I'm jealous you already played it and at the same time excited that I get to tomorrow.

AMEN brother - I fell for both of those too.

The last level of Portal was epic. I'm hoping the sequel is more like that. From what I read, it is.

Day one purchase!

5408d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah it was def short. The last two levels wer the best though and I'm hoping the new game keeps with the spirit of those two (particularly 19).

That's what I said but during the middle point of the game, the ratio of playing vs watching shrinks.

It was still cool though and the last quarter of the game kept me captivated regardless.

MGS4 was the sole reason why I bought a ps3 at launch even though it took two years to come out afterwards. I was that dedicated to playing it day one. That said, I still think snake eater is the ultimate mgs game (thus far).

We still have the Raiden game to hold us over until then although I thought I remembered him saying the last MGS psp game was technically MGS5.

So I'm excited for MGS Raiden and MGS6.

I do hope that they both have an equal ratio of gameplay to cinematics though. Although awesome, that was my only annoyance with 4.

Snake Eater still remains my favorite.
