no one forces anyone to buy them and the cost of buying a new game is still way less than it was in the 80s. with inflation factored in, a game then would cost us 120 bucks today and they were mad short
my grandmother died cos the fps counter had it at 59 and her life support depended on the fps being 60
not even too far into the game the money just starts flowing... so I'm not where the scam lies outside of new players wanting good gear from the start...
