This is sort of a bad list. Is it supposed to be JRPGs only? No Mass Effect? No Fallout?
Oblivion was a pretty decent game after modding to fix the horrible leveling system, and Skyrim isn't out yet, so maybe some people here are counting their chicks before they've hatched by saying that only Bethesda can make a good elder scrolls game.
really? playing fallout new vegas now and honestly I find it much improved over fallout 3. I think it is because they had a lot of the original guys from fallout 1 and 2 working on it.

This doesn't always happen. Shadow's of the damned sold like crap because EA failed horribly when it came to marketing the game properly, and yet it still is $60 at most outlets. The sense in getting it day 1 is because you want to support the things you like.

They shipped the game they shipped. They're not charging anybody for anything, they're giving you an opportunity to purchase something from them IF YOU WANT IT. There's a difference.

yeah, they're just going to drive the genre into the ground with 3 iterations of every title, even with reduced pricing on subsequent versions.
