There is little to compel me to like this game. Major sports like football or basketball would be more interesting. Mtn climbing and jetskis, cool. Bowling, tennis, been there done that. Sorry to hear about the layoffs, but the poor sales are obviously due to the lack of content.
Shame those preteen kids are so misguided. Titanfall, Halo and Transformers are the best shooters and have almost no blood and no bad language.
Nintendo however, is the KING of party games. My kids and their friends regularly play 4 player on our Wii U. Even junk like Tank Tank Tank is fun with friends. Nintendo needs to advertise this as well.
Sounds good to me. Now we can see why backward compatibilty was not included at launch. But if you remaster the graphics and re-release as collections, it sounds like a win win to me.

Need heavy advertising on kids channels. MK8 should be #1 in preorders, and it is not. Most people likely have no clue that they will get a free $40-$50 retail price game from Club Nintendo upon registering this game.
Cannot wait for SW BF3, but little buzz at this point makes me doubt a 2014 release.
Same here. My 10 year old plays this mode some, do not understand the reviews focusing on what amounts to a side mission.
I think that lower review scores are clearly by reviewers that were attached to Battle Mode. Personally, I never play Battle Mode and it means nothing to me. I play for the unlocks, next I play online mp. Guarantee I am not alone.
Right on! Love my Xbox One and hate that anyone is dissuaded by negative comments. Xbox One is a great console, period.

TF is awesome, Expedition dlc = more awesome. This game is a pure adrenaline rush for mp shooter fans.
I would not count out all of these characters yet. Unless you have 3 stars on all circuits and beat the staff ghosts (if that is still a feature). It takes a few months to unlock all the goodies on MK games and I expect they may be considering dlc as well.
Agreed stupid article title. The same people who play TF (like me and my son), will also play Halo. And the 2 games are not in the same timeframe, Halo comes out in 2015!?(ouch). Hope to see X1 versions of Halo 2, 3 or 4 this year, fingers crossed.
On MK Wii you could also play 2 player online from the same console.

Like to see some of this $ spent on a new nemesis for Skylanders other than Kaos and his Mom! That's where most of this $ came from.
We are lucky they are not more. In the 80s and 90s, yes I am dating myself, games were $40 to $50 and I remember paying $400 for my Sega Saturn. Honestly, this is little to no price increase other than a AAA title with DLC up at $75 to $100 or a Skylanders draining you for $250+. Also, there are so many more retailers now and constant sales and price wars. It is an amazing time to be a gamer!
