I agree with the article completely, but got to give it to Bungie for the Hype Train, they still have lots of people onboard for what looks like a giant disappointment.
Great fun in short bursts. Gets repetitive fast. Always amazed when I see these Gen 8 & Gen 10 folks, figure their folks won't buy them something else to play.

$30 per year for access to multiple games that have only been out for a year, is a d*mn good deal. I will sign up no problem. I do not understand what all the BS negatives are coming from. You don't have to buy the physical game AND pay for the service. XBL and PSN pay fir the companies to buy and maintain servers and provide online service, they do so a lot cheaper than XM radio or TV services. Glad MS jumped on board, Sony will jump onboard in a month or so, just watch.
I agree completely with this article. I was hyped for this game, took off work last Friday for the Beta. Played it, got bored and moved on to a DIY project. Halo has a better story, Titanfall has much better multiplayer, as does PvZ. Lots more games in my house that are much more entertaining. Thx for the Beta, saved me $100!

If the finished product is anything like the Beta, the game is not for me. 20-30 minute fire team battles that are completely repetitive. Constantly re spawning enemies. Most of the action underground like a dungeon crawler. Who expected bullet style guns in a futuristic shooter? Throwing knives? Multiplayer, been there, done that. I started with a Titan, really not wowed. My son, picked the Hunter. The Hunter is absolutely the way to go. Flame grenades, knives, much cooler than a Titan. Took off work tomorrow, so I will be gunning for L8, as a Hunter.

What narrative are you talking about? We have seen very little of that in Beta for Destiny. We get an intro narrative and a few missions.
I agree almost completely with the authors comments. Right now, in Beta, the game lacks the personality of Halo. That does not mean that the final version will be lacking, we will just have to wait and see. The weapons do feel very similar, all bullet style guns so far. I do feel the classes offer some welcome variety, but the class leaders are very static and stale.
Can't believe someone marked my comment as trolling, just made a comment about the supposed servers. Anyway, 11 hours in and only 90%.
I have an X1, but I question just what the hell are those 300,000 servers doing? Slow ass downloads and sub 1080p graphics. Love my console, bit much like the useless Kinect I have seen no benefits yet.
I calculated about 4 hours to DL at 54mbps. That said, the traffic to DL is running about 3 times as long, at around 15% 2 hours in.

That's great if you do not have a BB nearby, but BB will ship for free. This is a great deal, picked up 2 3DS games for the kids.
