Man, each month video game sales drop from previous years. I thought the video game industry was bullet proof? I really hope things change, I wouldnt want any more smaller studios to close.
Ron im saving that post for laughs. Sony had an impressive month and next month will be better aswell but to say the ps3 is the reason why the video game indu......whats the point.

yea the slim was released on august 26. Still for not even a wek this is good sales for ps3.

NPd makes sure to include everything which is why their info gets released almost 2 weeks after the last month has ended. The slim was in all major stores around my city before Sept 1. Well that is Target, Walmart and Bestbuy had them.

Regardless the price drop was in affect from the 26th for even the fats....like i said though very good for only a few days time.
this was partly because of the slim if you read what Anita of NDP said above.

Anita of NPD says the Ps3 sales are influenced by the slim:

Were you ps3 fans even here when the ps2 was released? You do understand that about this time in the life cycle the ps2 had almost double the units sold as the ps3? The Ps3 will not surpass the ps2.
Although the price cut is going to be amazing for ps3 sales it just will not catch up to what the ps2 did last generation. I believe it is just to far behind where the ps2 was at.
