a new rumor is going on that one reason why the memory cards are expensive is because sony wants to sell games on the psn up to 40% cheaper than their retail counterpart. Hence they have a high memory card price presumably so that the retailers get a bigger cut and they dont get angry for digitals titles being cheaper.

agree it might not be completely final. for example on gamestop's website, little deviants is listed for $ 40, but i believe its been confirmed for about $25 in Japan. So i dont think all of the prices are final. the same is for reality fighters which is also $40 which i highly doubt it will be.
i dont understand why there hasnt been a dq game on ps3. dq8 on ps2 was incredible. it didnt necessarily reinvent the wheel but it took everything that jrpgs did right and put it together.
good article, I agree since psv is launching in 2012 (NA and EU) theres no way ps4 will launch in the same year or even the next year. one of the problems with the psp was that sony took too many resources out of supporting psp to help launch the ps3. so they need at least 1 full year of support as the new playstation product before they even announce a ps4
has anyone noticed the similarity between the setting for the jak games and the uncharted games. the first of both series had a jungle, lush green environment and the third one both featured the desert prominently. only the second one is different where uncharted 2 was more about snow and jak 2 had a more urban feel.
nope its completely free to play. you dont have to pay anything to access the game. It is possible to pay if you want for the dlc, and other benefits.

maybe 30k for the pc version but they didnt mention the subs for the ps3 version i believe or gave any indication at the increase
yeah the previews from e3 for tomb raider have been overwhelming positive. it does look cinematic like uncharted but with a much darker and more serious tone. How cool would be if there was a real uncharted x tomb raider game. it could work as both are realistic characters and both series always have some supernatural theme within it
i dont think ninja theory would be developing it. they actually stated before that they wanted to do a sequel but sony did not want it (probably due to it not meeting sales expectations) plus add in the fact that they are working on the dmc reboot so its impossible for them to work on it right now. add that ninnokuni game. i think that will definitely be a big sleeper hit, because it has appeal to not only jrpg fans, but also younger kids for the amazing art style.
the lack of brand power could also be attirbuted to lack of massive hype/marketing by sony. It didnt feel as though they were pushing it as the definitive fps for the fall as they did with kz3 earlier. I mean they had ads but i dont think they properly hyped a well received game.

In terms of whos developing it, I think it has to be santa monica studios. Guerilla games is making apparently a new killzone game and new fps futuristic ip so the last of us doesnt match that description. sucker punch just finished infamous fob and infamous 2 earlier this year so it cant be them.
