Im guessing that since they just completely nixed all their plans completely. Lowering the prices of games wasnt part of the plan. Otherwise they would have announced that games would no longer be 60 bucks but 29, 39, etc. But nope, they just completely re-did EVERYTHING.
I hope we get better games than AC 2 and Halo 3 i mean come on, who hasnt played those 2 games by now? I thought it was lame when they announce the titles. I think you get better free games on PS+.
I actually dont see why it COULDNT be sold used. No doubt it will have a "Reformat" feature that will completely wipe the system clean. At this point any accounts associated with it will be cleaned and deleted and in theory it should be like a new machine. So i guess at that point, you could sell it. Now, the only question is, if you wipe it will it in turn re-add your log in information and your games automatically or do you have to input this info yourself. Hmmmmm
The only thing that will trully hurt them is the price, yes the hard core gamer will see no difference. But that Single Mother, or family may go and see that the Xbone is 100 dollars more will more than likely go for the PS4. That $100 difference is a big deterrent for some people.
In theory, the Launce edition may be delivered on Dec 31st where as the Standard may be delivered on Jan 1st or 2nd. Its just them saying you wont get it on launch day but the systems are the same.

How can you say you have no interest in FREE stuff?? Seems more like you were just to cheap to pay the fee to get online, not that you have 0 interest. You seem to be one of those who expect to get everything for free, and come off as very cheap to the point you wont even pay, to get free stuff. Wow. I am making the move from Xbox to Sony, and the free stuff just sweetens the pot.
The only way i see myself buying a Xbox One is if they announce all Digital Titles will be 19.99-29.99. But other than that, i really have no desire to buy a xbone. All their titles come to PC anyways so ill just grab it there if i just need to play em.
His analogy about cell phone miss the mark. If i dont have wifi i can still USE THE PHONE. That is the point here, I dont need Cable service to use my tv, I don't need internet to use my PC, i don't need internet to use my Cell phone, and i shouldn't need internet to use my 500+ console. And if he thinks people who dont have internet dont play video games then he is totally out of touch with the market hes in.
I usually buy both systems, PS2/Xbox, Xbox360/PS3, but this time i am only getting the PS4. The Used Games had me wavering, then the price point just pushed me all the way over. I love xbox, they do have some wonderful things. But the DRM, Online Check, and the 499 price tag makes it a no go for me. Im hoping in a year, MS will wake up and fix some of their mistakes and maybe i end up getting it. But for now, ill play their games on my PC.

I think a console should work right out of the box, that's like a TV company saying,i can only watch TV if i have a cable subscription. It makes no sense that they expect people to go out and pay 400+ bucks on a system that doesn't just work right out of the box. Not everybody wants to be part of a connected world, they just wanna play their games.
why would they stop making those?? They continue to sell millions of millions of millions of copies. Why would ANYBODY do that? When you think of Nintendo, you think of THOSE titles.

how hard is it to have a case of water in your room to grab while your gaming? I mean, you cant grab some water during the loading screens and the lobby room? I mean really. i like gaming but ill never go 4 days straight with out food, water, and a shower. I like that stuff a lil more than gaming.
I will get a X1, but i think i will still go with PS4 at launch, the 100 dollar difference helps a lot. Ill probably get X1 after the holidays.
