The long shot alone puts it in another league than every other game out. I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing more long shots from SSM for the series and future IPs. Im guessing than (and probably reaching very far) that you also have an issue with ms forcing Nintendo users to sign into xbl for Minecraft. That policy was only put in place to make ms more money. Cuz remember, ms measures it's success based on of MAU.

Ps4 and pc have the cross progression. So the content is locked to those platforms.
Ps4 doesn't have cross progression with Xbox or switch, so why are you expecting it to have that.

Whwn I have kids, I'll be bringing them up the way I grew up with gaming, they will be starting on the old games and throughout the years slowly getting to modern gaming.
So it does depend of the situation, I believe my kid/kids will at least have appreciation of where gaming has come from with that practice.
