The dodge roll simulator they showed on xboxs conference wasnt much better when u think about it.
It also depends on the game as well, for example just cause wouldnt have been as good had it been the same size as this. Mainly due to vegicles and such. But if its populated and dense it could be 10sq kms. Quality over quantity

it may also also be that the companies are starting to listen to the gamers, we dont want to see a game in 2013 at e3 with a 2016 release date. so as for the new ips they are probably either holding them back until they can get a more definitive release date for it or they will be holding more of their own press events to show off the games, that way all attention is just on them.

Ya and this may sound weird, but the new kratos, at least from the gamplay clip sounded much more grounded, like it wasnt a 0-100 in less time than it takes kratos to rip off the head of medusa. Now you can see and hear hes upset but he isnt acting on that. Definelty a nice change of pace. It isnt the people that explode for no reason that you must fear, its the anger you dont see thatll kill ya
