Oh they can of course lose sales having crossplay.
If all your friends play fortnite on ps4, ans you are a hardcore halo fan, you can't play with them unless you buy a ps4. By allowing crossplay you don't need the ps4 to play with the.. That's a lost sale for sony.
MS ans. Intend have much more to gain with 80 million users than sony could gain with 50 million between the two competitors

And those same people could buy the console their friends have, or if they have a pc, cross play with them there.
If the people were so focused on being able to play together, then they would have all picked up the same console at the beginning.

Well anyone who thought he was abandoning probably either didnt read or chose not to read that he went with epic for cloudgine.
And at the same time, abandoning could have different definitions to different people.
To one person abandon could mean running from the sinking ship, while others might see is as someone leaving their vision for a new one.

God of war a prime example. Death stranding being a walking simulator. Given enough time you could edit nearly any game to look like a walking simulator.
