Some people keep their old console, some people don't.
And as for being able to play games for years, the ps3 og still has a better bc than xbox one. No need for an approved list and updates to make them work on the ps3.

They can buy a second console, or trade In Their other one, or Invest in a pc and crossplay with everyone

I'd say that having a AAA game release with a known lesbian as the main character and it not breaking the internet is more incredible for gaming history than a rocket shooting up and everyone watching
Yeah don't get me wrong it's a great thing that a game built around shooting eachother is able to produce a community event like that and yeah there are definitly people who see that as their first experience with a community event but for a "journalist" to say this will go down in history is a little much. Maybe if the game is still around in 4 or 5 years but I don't see that happening with the changes they are starting to implement
They need to finally pack ps now into the ps plus subscription. I wouldn't mind even if they had two teirs for the online pass. Regular 70$ for the year or say 100 and it includes ps now

Case and point. Witcher 3 vs Destiny.
Witcher 3 had an unbelievable story yes combat gameplay wasn't to notch, while you have destiny, top of the boards for gun play yet the bad story pulled it down.
