No devs of serious note have come out with useful information. It is either a slim ps4 sans disk drive. Or early development leaks for ps4, which may slightly shorten the development cycle for new console.
It's simply a rumour being perpetuated by Microsoft tragic websites for hits and to slow the flow of ps4 sales. There is not need for a ps4.5. The thing performs fine exactly as it is and I highly doubt Sony have even though about it. For all we know this neo is a slim model packaged with psvr.

What happened to producing xbox 360 consoles a day longer than Sony produces ps3 consoles. Microsoft has no staying power. I don't even believe these upgraded consoles exist or are coming but if I was a betting man I'd say MS makes the first move
There is as much upsetting of this beta as there is down selling. Try approach it with open eyes instead of defensive tactics. The graphics ARE bad. They won't change much. But it can be forgiven if it maintains constant 60fps
6 months isn't long. It should be approaching completion. I have a feeling this will be delayed. Hopefully for the better. The grit is gone. They need to bring it back

No company in their right mind would stress test without something approaching final assets. That's just asking for issues in the future.
